Chapter 7 The birth of a baby boy and a baby girl

When the fastest sperm cell unites with the egg cell in Cebu , king Ridulf unites with them too and he loses consciousness. It goes the same with king Vlademir in Negros. They both fall into the state of forgetfulness. Fertilization of egg cell starts both in Cebu and Negros. The fertilized egg begins to divide into two cells, then to four cells, then to eight cells, and so on,

as it travels through the fallopian tube going to the uterus. Within three days , the fertilized egg divides very fast into many cells as it travels to the uterus where it attaches to the uterine wall. The placenta which will nourish the baby starts to form.

In Cebu where king Ridulf loses consciousness inside the womb of Juana, Juana begins to crave for salty foods like "bagoong" and sour fruit like green mango. "Rodolfo ! Rodolfo ! provide me green mango and "bagoong" now !" shouts Juana to her husband. "It's still midnight, the stores are still closed Juana," calmly explains Rodolfo. "Aaaaahh ! I need them nooowww !!" Juana shouts again with more demanding tune of voice. Rodolfo gets angry, "You are shouting at me now ! You change attitude just one week after our wedding !" "Be calm and rejoice," advises the elderly woman close relative. "Be calm? Rejoice?" Rodolfo gets more angry. The elderly woman relative whispers, "Juana is pregnant." "Huh ! haaahhh ! haaaaaahhhh ! Yeheeeeeeey !!!" Rodolfo shouts with joy. "Your wish is my command ! I will go to Tabunok market right now madam Juana , my love of my life !" Rodolfo obeys with gladness and inspiration.

In Negros province, in the city of Bacolod, in a remote mountain barangay, Maria Fe , a newly married woman whose womb king Vlademir enters into, looks blooming and she craves for something sweet to chew like sugarcane. "Wow ! You look more beautiful now Maria Fe. If you are pregnant, you must be conceiving a baby girl," their neighbors comment on Maria Fe's looks. One of the female neighbors of Maria Fe suggests," I will look for pictures of beautiful movie actresses in Hollywood like Sofia Loren and you are going to look at it everyday so that the baby girl in your womb will become as beautiful as Sofia Loren ! Wow !". "No doubt, the baby girl will be as beautiful as movie actresses because Maria Fe is also beautiful and her daughter will inherit her physical traits !" another female neighbor confirms.

One starry night when the sky is clear and the full moon reigns over the night sky kingdom, the rural residents are sound asleep including Maria Fe. Maria Fe is having a vivid dream. "I am king Vlademir , the great king in the ancient world ! I will become your child !" Lightning strikes branching in the night sky of her dream followed by thundering sounds ! "Aaaaaaaahhhhh ! Back to Cebu province in the city of Talisay, Juana also dreams of a king so she consults a local dream interpreter to know what does her dream mean? The local dream interpreter called "Tatay" explains Juana's dream,"You or one of your children in the future will become rich but you will undergo hardships and as you possess great power comes also great responsibilities.

In the province of Negros at 12 midnight under the full moon Maria Fe is laboring much the reincarnation of king Vlademir in their nipa hut. It is her first time to deliver a baby. " Push push", the native midwife encourages the perspiring Maria. "Ooohhh I seem to die aaahh", Maria Fe expresses with fear. "Push push push", the native midwife again says but now she is demanding. Maria Fe is in trouble. The native midwife prays and then demands, " Push push push !" Maria Fe bathing with her sweat pushes to the top of her strength, " Ooooohhhhh aaaaaahhhh!!!"......"Uhaa uhaaa uhaaa".... A beautiful baby girl is born.

In the province of Cebu at the same time Juana is laboring the reincarnation of king Ridulf in a maternity hospital. It is her second time to deliver a baby. Unlike Maria Fe, she does not labor much due to pre natal care and check up. A few minutes after , the midwife goes out of the delivery room and says, "Congratulations sir Rodolfo! At last your wish for a baby boy is granted. A healthy and handsome baby boy!

Back to the province of Negros, Nur , the husband of Maria Fe and their neighbors celebrate by slaughtering native chickens and cook some boiled chickens with malunggay and lemon grass and some are roasted. They eat and drink coconut wine and sing Hilongo songs with guitar accompaniment.

In Cebu province, Rodolfo, the husband of Juana and their relatives and close friends, celebrate by eating in "Jollibee" and after that a videoke challenge at home with cold Red Horse and sizzling roasted pork.

During the celebrations in Negros and Cebu , they are discussing the names of the babies. " Abegail? Claire? Stella? ", the friends and neighbors of Maria Fe and Nur suggest. "Ranji? Rudolf II? Lionel?, the relatives and friends of Juana and Rodolfo suggest. "Ok this October 28, will be the baptism of my daughter. We will give a reward to the one who suggests the chosen name of my daughter. And these are one carabao and one sack of rice", promises Nur in Negros province. They are cheering for the baby girl and baby boy who are kings in the past life.
