Chapter 5 Five

Morning at Miranda's company. " Good morning president, " Clara greeted." I want to inform you that the board meeting is in ten minutes." "Morning Clara, thank you for the reminder. I hope everything is ready." "Yes president the board members are already seated in the conference room, they are just waiting for you. "Okay I will be there." Miranda said and dismissed Clara.

" Morning love bird, Nick said as he walked in Miranda's office. "Hey Nick how are you?" Miranda said. "I am not fine. I can not believe that you let me sleep in and now look, am almost late for the board meeting." Nick whined. Miranda laughed " Oh please Nick stop whining. Let's go now shall we?" " I love you so much Miranda even though I have only known you for a month I feel like I have known you an eternity. " This is not the time for your sweet talk Nick we're running late for the meeting and remember I just accepted your proposal yesterday so don't get ahead of yourself okay." " Okay president " Nick saluted which made Miranda laugh.

" Good morning everyone, hope you are all well. I called for this meeting in order to discuss our ratings this month. As you all can see we have ranked number five on the top ten list this month. From number one to number five, if we let this continue , we will go bankrupt. That is why I called for this meeting so that we can come up with a new strategy to attract a lot of clients." Miranda said.

" I think we should try lowering the insurance prices." Nick said. " But Mr Michaelson isn't that a bit risky? We are already one of the lowest insurance companies in California if we get any lower am afraid we will have to close the company down!" Mr Bernard said. " Mr Bernard, running a company is all about taking risks. If one is afraid of taking risks, then that person should find a new profession because in order to succeed in business one must be willing to take risks."

" I agree with you Mr Michaelson but I think a risk like that should only be considered when we're in a very tough position, it should be our last resort. Right now what I think we should do is improve our advertisements and get rid of workers who are not doing a good job. The company is not doing bad any way we only ranked number five not ten, so I think there is not much need for us to stress. Mr Bernard said. " I agree with Mr Bernard" Miranda said " all we have to do is work harder. I like Mr Michaelson's suggestion but like Mr Bernard said that should be our last resort and I hope that we will not ever have to come to that point." The meeting continued for an hour, after that, Miranda and Nick had lunch together.

" Today you were really active in the meeting, what happened. Miranda asked " Love happened Mira. I want to make sure that your company will become the best in whole country because I know how much you treasure it." Miranda smiled " thank you Nick, thank you for all the support and help you have shown and given me over the past few weeks. No one apart from my family and Becky has supported me the way you do. I am really thankful you came into my life. " I should be the one thanking you for giving me the chance to be your man. By the way since today is Friday how about we go out? just you and me." Nick said as he caressed her cheek with the back of his hand. Miranda felt butterflies in her stomach.

" I... I can't Nick Claudia and I had plans for the weekend. She wants to take me partying. Miranda whispered the last word. "Oh my goodness!" Nick laughed "you have never gone partying have you? In that case I will come with you girls just to ensure your safety and don't worry I will not ruin your sister time I will just be there to protect you from drunk guys. Oh and did I tell you that I like the way you react to my touch?" "Don't mock me Nick" Miranda playfully hit Nick on his chest " I will ask Claudia if you can tag along." " Alright ma'am as you wish." Nick said.

After work Miranda headed to her sister's house. When she arrived she found her sister talking on the phone " okay love can't wait to have you all to myself." She said in a seductive tone. Miranda tapped Claudia on her shoulder and Claudia jerked, completely startled. "Miranda you scared me, how did you get into my house?" "The door was unlocked so I let myself in. Sorry didn't mean to frighten you." Miranda said. "It's okay Claudia replied" what can I get you?" " I am fine thanks, were you talking to your mysterious boyfriend?" " Yes I really miss him a lot you know." Claudia answered in a low voice. Miranda sighed softly " I can tell you really miss him, but don't worry he will be here soon and in the meantime I will keep you company alright sis." "Yes thank you for being the best sister in the world." Claudia hugged her sister.

" By the way I came her to ask you if Nick can come with us tonight he said he won't ruin our fun time he just wants to make sure we will be okay. And also when I will get the chance to talk to your boyfriend or at least see his photo?" Miranda said while walking to the kitchen. " So he wants to act like our bodyguard?" Claudia asked. " Yes something like that." " Okay am cool with that and you will talk to him soon just be patient." Claudia said.

At nine pm the ladies were ready. Claudia was wearing a tight gold sleeveless short bareback dress with matching five inch gold heels and Miranda was wearing a long blue dress that matched her eyes. The dress had a V neck and was tight up the waist and loose at the bottom. It had a thin lace of sparkling germs which looked like stars. It also had a long slit up to her thigh. She also wore four inch blue wedges. Both of them looked glamorous.

When Nick saw them he was completely speechless. He was wearing a black trousers and a white shirt with a black leather jacket and white sneakers. "Wow you ladies look amazing. Let's go shall we the club awaits." Was all he could manage to say. " You also look handsome" Miranda blushed.

When they arrived at the club, Nick ordered them some drinks. A few minutes later Claudia started dancing with some random strangers. Miranda just sat there drinking her wine." Are you not going to join your sister on the dance floor?" Nick asked. " What did you say?" Miranda yelled. " I said why are you not dancing with your sister?" Nick yelled back. " I don't want to dance because I don't know how." Miranda answered. " Come on" Nick said " This is suppose to be your night out with your sister. Go on have fun, experience new things okay." " Alright but I don't think my dress really suits crazy dancing, I think I will wait for some slow music and sway away to it." Miranda answered Nick who inturn kissed her on her forehead. " Nick you promised you wouldn't invade our fun time. Your role is to play bodyguard not sweet boyfriend."Claudia yelled at Nick from the dance floor. Claudia came and pulled Miranda to the dance floor and started dancing with her. Soon after Miranda could barely walk because of all the dancing and the wine she drunk.

At 1 am,the trio went back home. Miranda was so drunk that she passed out and Claudia being used to alcohol was a bit sober.

When they arrived at Miranda's house, Claudia decided to spend the night there. Nick carried Miranda to her room. And helped her get in bed. He then went to the kitchen in order to get some food and found Claudia lying on the couch. " Hey Claudia let me take you to your sister's room." Nick said." No I will sleep in the guest room,you should sleep with her in case she will need something." Claudia said slowly. " Okay do you want something? Maybe some water or some food?" " No thanks Nick I will just go to bed, Bye." " Sleep well Claudia." Nick said.

After eating he went to sleep in Miranda's room. He found her in deep sleep. He took this chance and looked at her body. Her breast were full and round. Her black hair fell down on her neck. Her lips were sexy and her body was irresistible. He tucked some hair behind her ear, kissed her forehead and whispered " I am sorry Miranda." Then he fell asleep beside her.
