Chapter 5 A party that Could Change Everything

"Lydia, what makes you so sure?"

"My fake love."

"Fake love..., he chuckled," Lydia wakes up please, we both know that there is a probability that Alexander's love for his son Harry Banks is greater than your fake love."

"Maybe you are right. Maybe you are wrong, it is just a probability, remember....."

"Lydia, keep this one thing in mind, " blood is thicker than water" you may be surprised if one day Mr Banks sends you out of his mansion with nothing."

"He can never do that Gabriel."

"Don't be so sure Lydia, if it isn't Alexander Banks who sends you out, then how about the heir of all the Banks Wealth?"

"What are you trying to say?"

"Lydia, we all know that the heir of all the Bank's Wealth is Alexanders only son "Harry Banks" and remember this Lydia, from what I have heard, Harry Banks was Alexander's and Louisa's inspiration, he inspired both of them to work hard for what they have right now, so it's no surprise that Alexander will choose Harry Banks as his heir."

"Hey Gabriel, you are not a prophet or anything, so stop your nonsense, " Lydia said as she hung up.

"Mom, who was that?" asked Stanley White.

"White."

"White? like my dad"

"No not him, what I was trying to say is that white looks good on you, you know, your shirt," Lydia said.

"That's weird because I often wear white clothing."

"Yeah, that's right, but this one looks good, I liked its design."

"So...the one you were talking to earlier on the phone?"

"It was no one, just a stranger."

"Sounded like he was upsetting you," Stanley said.

"For how long were you here?"

"I just came now, why?"

"Nothing."

"Is there anything you would like to tell, me mom?"

"No, nothing."

"I see, alright I'm going inside," Stanley said White.

"Could Gabriel be right? What if I face the music by fooling myself? What if Gabriel is right?" she asked herself.

Lydia was totally confused, she didn't know what to do next, she wondered if she had to stick to her and Gabriel's plan or just forget about it for now. One thing was about to change her mind for good or worse.

"Martin, you did it just as I expected," Alexander said.

"Is it spectacular?"

"Yeah, I think it is, you guys, what do you think?"

"Everything looks great, Mister Martin," Stanley said.

"Good, hope you guys enjoy yourselves," Martin said, "Harry, what do you think of the arrangements?"

Harry gave him a thumbs up and said," It's great, uncle."

The party that Mister Alexander Banks threw was indeed astonishing. Many kinds of people arrived at the party, the luxurious cars would park one after another and bigwigs would come out all dressed up.

"My predictions were right, I knew that all of you would like it," Martin said as he was proud of himself. "Alexander, someone wants to talk to you."

"Do I know that somebody?" he asked as he took a sip of his wine.

"Yep."

"Fine, I'll go meet him," Alexander said, Mr Alexander Banks---

" Nathan, when did you arrive? I thought that you were still in China," Alexander said. Sounded like he never expected to see Nathan that soon.

"I arrived in this city yesterday and I met Martin at the airport, after meeting him, he invited me here, so.. here I'm,"

"I see, he was there to pick some of our old friends, and China?"

"The country was not that bad and my business is doing wonders over there," said Nathan.

"Oh, that's good," Alexander said.

"Nathan, since your business in China is running smoothly, does this mean that you will settle there?" asked Martin.

"I think so, I might do just that," replied Nathan.

"Nathan, have you mastered the Chinese language?"

"I'm trying, I'm trying so hard Alexander,"

"Is Chinese that difficult because you have been there for at least three years now,"

"Alexander it is true that grasping Spanish was easy for me as a second language, Chinese is very difficult,"

"Nathan, why is that, you have been there for years?

"Hey, only a newborn baby wouldn't know why it's difficult to learn Chinese, from my experience Chinese language and the Chinese ascent are complicated"

"Martin, Nathan over here is really funny, you heard what he said," Alexander said as he laughed uncontrollably.

"Alexander, laugh just laugh but if you go there one day, you will learn that Chinese isn't that easy,"

"I'm sorry Nathan," Alexander said.

Ah... Nathan, earlier you spoke of settling in China, but---,"

"But what Martin?"

"You see from this conversation I've learned from you that the Chinese language is difficult----

"Yeah, it's good that you are a good listener Martin, you are not like Alexander here, all he wants is to make fun of---

"Hey Nathan relax, he hasn't finished what he has to say, just listen to what he has to say first,"

"As I was saying, I've learned that the Chinese language is difficult for you, so how will you date the Chinese who only speak Chinese?

" What!"

"Nathan he is right because you don't have a wife and since you want to settle in China, it means that you will have to date the Chinese ladies,"

"Yes, when I was in China I thought about it and decided to marry someone from here, that is why I'm here, you never know, I might be a prince charming to someone here,"

"Nathan, there are Chinese who speak some English, right?

"Then why did you have to come from China to Europe?"

"Hey, Alexander, I'm not the kind of person who is going to date someone by first asking her if she knows and understands English," said Nathan.
