Chapter 7 His mysteries

I stare at his dark orbs in shock, while he sits there on my sofa.

With one leg placed on the other and an irritating smirk plastered on his face.

The very thought of him sitting here and staring at my sleeping self,made a shiver run down my spine.

"What the hell are you doing here? How did you came inside?"

I ask staring at the door which was still locked.

"I think you are not in the habit of listening to orders mate. Wasn't I clear when I said, keep your door open?"

The coldness and arrogance in his voice made me more angry at him.

First he has the audacity to invade my privacy and then he questions me like he is my superior.

"You got me right Alpha. I am not in the habit of listening to orders, specially from men like you"

He stares, hardening his jaw while I push aside the quilt and put on my slippers.

Standing in front of him,I point towards the door.

"Get out"

His eyes were changing colours and that's when I see him staring at my attire.

My crop top and shorts were too short,as the asshole shamelessly stares at me.

"Get the hell out from here bastard!"

I scream to only have him sit back on the seat and look back at my face finally.

"Do you usually wear such revealing clothes to bed or you prepared yourself for me tonight?"

"What?"

I ask in shock as he stands up , towering over me.

Was this man serious? What does he thinks of himself?

Before I could scream at him again, his arm coiled around my waist and he pulled me towards him.

My front hits his chest as a gasp leaves my lips.

"What are you-"

"Shhhhhh"

He says pressing his finger on my lip,making the tingles to explode at our closeness again.

My mind got numb for a minute as I try to understand what was happening.

Mate! Touch mate!

My horny wolf screams in my mind as I stand still,pressed against him.

My hands limp by my side,as I stare at his brown eyes.

His fingers run circles on my waist, slowly lifting it higher.

While his other hand rubs my arm, making s trail of tingles to last along.

"How is the feeling Vera? Does my touch ignites something here?"

He says moving his hand lower and as soon as I realise what his intended destination was,I push him back to only have me stumble on my own feet and fall back on the bed.

I scream in surprise looking up at his smirking face in animosity.

"What happened mate? Afraid?"

"Afraid? Never asshole! I will never be afraid of you!"

I scream to only have him move his head in disbelief.

Towering over me,he places his either leg on my side and strangle me on the bed.

"Not of me my little lioness. You should never be afraid of me. I was asking about being afraid of your own self."

He stares at my lips as I move my head to a side, refusing to look back at him.

"Being afraid of loosing the control you have. Afraid of loosing to these feelings in your body. Afraid of your body not being your anymore."

He whispers in my ear as I clench my fist.

If it wasn't for my stupid wolf stopping me,I would have killed him already.

"Are you done? Leave me now."

He smiles and next I know his lips hower over my earlobe as he whispers.

"I will never be done with you Vera. Never"

His words made my insides clench and I fist my hands again to stop this feeling.

He bites my earlobe and I look at him in disbelief.

But that was my biggest mistake.

Our faces were too close,with his lips just centimetres away from me.

His nose touching mine as my chest rises and falls with me breathing heavily.

No Vera! Don't let him! He is no different than other men!

He wants to control you just like them.

To dominate you,to make you submit.

I was still lost in the depth of his eyes when suddenly his expression changes.

He stares at the beads of sweat on my forehead,his eyes narrowing as if he was angry.

I feel his cold fingers move aside small sticking hair on my forehead and I for a second forgot about everything.

Was this a fascade? Does he really cares for me?

His next words made my mouth to open in shock and eyes to widen.

"What were you dreaming about my lioness? Since how long are you having these nightmares?"

His eyes screamed worry and care, but can I trust him?

How does he know?

Since how long was he here,staring at me.

"It's not your business."

His eyes narrow at me ,jaw hardening.

I was a closed person ,no way in hell will I tell him about my sufferings.

And then,when I thought he will force answers from me,he places his forehead against mine and breathes his breath on my lips.

With eyes closed ,he stills in silence.

Enjoying this moment.

"Take your time Vera.But remember, I always get my answers."

He can't know! No! Those are the worst memories of my life,my soft spots.

I will never tell him the struggles I have endured.

Placing a featherly kiss on my nose,he opens his eyes to look back at me.

"Good night my lioness. And remember to close your windows next time."

Before I could understand much,he was gone.

Leaving me a confused and quivering mess.

What the hell was that?

I run my fingers on my face to touch my nose where he just kissed.

No matter how nice this felt, I can't trust him.

No man is to be trusted. Including him.

Council meeting

8;49 am

"This is unacceptable Alpha Logan! Those girls can never run a pack! How can you even think of asking me to consider this?"

Logan refuses to look up from the papers in his hands.

Knowing this was going to happen.

"Silvermoon territory is located at a very important point,majority of the trade takes place through the land. The risks and stakes are both high? How can we let a bunch of girls rule over it?"

"The bunch of girls we are referring to killed my Beta Elder Arnold. I know well that a female Alpha is never known in history ,but we can give her a chance atleast. 1 month. To be exact to see if she is capable enough?"

"But Alpha Logan ,we found information on this girl and to our surprise there are no tracks of her. She was not even a pack member of Silvermoon,a rogue..most probably. How can we let a rogue lead a pack?"

Logan nods at the Elder.

"I am aware and that's why I take responsibility for the girl.I will bear the consequences of this"

Murmurs and voices broke out in the courtroom,not able to believe Alpha Logan's statement.

A man like him never helps anyone without a reason ,why was he helping then?

"I suppose you have sone personal interests in this Alpha Logan? Such gerousity is never heard from someone like you."

Another elder said and everyone eagerly waited for his answer.

"Indeed you are right Elders. The girl we are talking about is my mate and you future Luna Vera King."

And that's when all the voices and noises in the courtroom silenced down,as everyone stated at him in shock.

A rogue Luna was rarely heard of ,but a leader ,an Alpha. Never.

If only they knew ,that this was just the beginning.
