Chapter 5 Modelling

"Good morning ma'am." Mr. Wilson greeted her with a gentle smile.

"Good morning Mr. Wilson. So what's my schedule today?"

"I've arranged meeting with the company we finalised the other day. And after that, there are couple of files, you need to have a look upon them so that we can go further regarding the arrangements for upcoming event. Also senior boss wants to see you." Mr. Wilson said in a single breath.

"Okay. I'll go have a talk with boss first. What's the time for meeting?"

"They're coming here exactly on eleven ma'am."

"Right. I'll go first then." With this, she moved to the cabin where her boss was working. She knocked the door. A man in early sixties welcomed her inside the cabin.

"Good morning sir. I got to know that you wanted to see me, how may I help you sir?"

"Good morning miss Ivana. How's the preparation for event going on?"

"Everything is going on good sir. We've already arranged for the lighting, foods and other arrangements. I'm having a meeting with the company that'll be providing models for us at eleven today. Every thing is going on smoothly. And I'll do my best to make this event successful sir." Ivana replied with confidence.

"Good job miss Ivana. I'm impressed with your work. You totally deserve this job. By the way, I called you here to inform you that you should also be the one who should walk on the ramp on the day on event."

"Me? I should be walking on ramp? But why? I mean I'm not even a model. I have nothing to do with modelling and I don't even know how to walk on extreme high heels like the models walk. And why me? I mean......"

"Relax miss Ivana. I know you've nothing to do with modelling. But this is the idea presented by our Chairman himself. If you being the managing head of the company participate in the modelling, it'll show our dedication towards our work and also will show that we trust upon our work." Mr. Gray, her boss cut her off before she could finish speaking.

"But.... but why me sir? I mean there are a lot of other beautiful ladies working in our office. And how can I walk alone in the ramp? I don't even know how to walk on a ramp."

"Don't worry miss Ivana. You won't be walking alone. A male model will be walking down the ramp with you. And about choosing you, it's because you're the one who's working on this event day and night. Also you know every single details about this event. And the confidence you carry with yourself is the factor that makes you different from others. That is the reason why you're selected for this. Don't worry, you'll be trained for walking down the ramp. There's still a month left for the event and I know you'll do the best." Mr. Gray replied showing great confidence upon her

"But sir...."

"No if no but. I know you can do this. You've done a lot of tough tasks earlier. This is even a lot easier than those tasks. So I know you can do this." Mr. Gray interrupted.

"Okay sir. But I still don't think I can do it." Ivana replied with a bit of worry in her voice.

"I trust upon you miss Ivana. Now buck up for the ramp walk. And all the very best. I'll arrange someone to train you from day after tomorrow. Alright?"

"Yes sir. I'll take a leave now."

With a little bow, Ivana lest the cabin and went back to her workplace.
