Chapter 5 Settling down

They gone to shopping to get Vincy changed as they have to travel back. As soon as they get changed they rushed to the nearest airport in city B and boarded the plane.

As they travel back to capital city, Vincy explained what happened in her house...

"Aren't you curious what happened after you left?" Vincy started

"I think I don't need to know."

"Why?"

"You standing in front of church in wedding dress explains a lot."

"Hmm then what's there to explain." She recalled all that happened like a flash.

At Vincy's House.........

As Vincy take her leave from Harrison, she headed towards her house.

When she reached, she saw almost all her friends and family waiting for her eagerly. She didn't get what's happening but understood that this entire chaos that's happening in her house is related to her.

When she entered her room she saw a beautiful wedding gown and a few set of jewelry.







As soon as she saw it in her room she understands that her family had arranged a wedding for her which they have been discussing for a long time. She went out to see her parents and learnt that they already left for the venue.

Her friends forced her to get ready as they are already so late to the ceremony. Vincy had no choice left so she put on the dress and her friends began to tease, mock her.

"Look, you are so gorgeous in this dress... What if your groom is not a match for you when you stand near him...? Go change it..." her friend hurried her to try all the jewelry and see which one chooses her the best.

"Then I will cancel the wedding..."

"What did you say? Cancel the wedding.... I heard your In-laws are from a conservative family who values tradition a lot...." Said one of her cousins.

"What??? Are you serious???? Then Vincy can't be act rationally like she does always. Moreover, she is a cold-headed. Vincy, better you call off this wedding. Listen to me, if you get married in this family they will kick you out in a day or two. It's better to call it off early than be a divorcee..." They teased her.

"I am also getting ready to call off this wedding. And to that to happen I feel that this is very well fitting", She stand up to take her leave to see her parents.

"Don't take our words serious. We are just kidding. So don't act rashly"

"I am damn serious in calling off this wedding. Also you guys know that when I decide one thing, I will definitely get it no matter what I do. Hmm move it's getting late to call off the wedding.", Saying this Vincy made her move towards the car. Her friends and cousins doesn't know how to stop her. So they called Vincy's parents before handed but couldn't get them in the phone. With no choice left they followed Vincy.

The wedding was arranged in a hotel Banquet hall. The entire hall was decorated extravagantly.



Guests were already gathered and a soft refreshing music has been playing to make the guest entertain until the procession starts.

As soon as the car reached the wedding venue, Vincy made her way to look for either groom or his parents. On the other, her friends found Vincy's parents and said what She intended to do.Her parents get her before she messes up the wedding.

In a room,

"Dear, listen up... this is only for your own good. Listen to me and come to the aisle. This moment is what we have long been planning for." Her father grasped her wrist and pulled.

She loses the grip and looked firm in not getting married.

"So you arranged for a wedding without my concern?"

"What do you mean by this act of yours?" Her father's rage started to rise.

"No baby, Don't do", Her mother tried to calm her down.

"What are you trying to say? Look I will ask you once. Will you get married or not?"

"I am also saying for one last time, NO Dad, do you know how long I have been thinking that you will listen to my concerns. But no....

You never let me study what I want to study. You never let me act as what I want.

Do you know, in order to please you I have keep on losing my own self and always have to put up an act in front of you guys. But you, you never take my feelings in account.

Do you know what my real character be like? Go ask those people who were around me. Even now All you know is that I took some class for being a civilian. But no dad I took a whole year to travel length and breadth of the country. And now I had already attended an interview of a company which I always dreamt of."

"So you lied to me from the start and now want to disgrace me. What will I say to the groom's family?"

"Say them that you arranged this on your own. Now when your daughter heard about the arrangement, she is willing to cancel this wedding as she have someone she likes and no matter what she will only marry him."

"So this is all because you like someone. Go get lost from her. I don't have a unfilial daughter like you who brought such a disgrace to her family. Remember never come back to me even if that, your so called someone who you love cheats or leave you in misery."

"Here, Take these jewelry. I will go with these clothes that I wear. Don't worry I will pay you the cost of this dress within a few months."

As they said, she left the venue with no regret and called Harrison, who leave disapprove to get married the girl arranged by his parents, to get married.

When she come to sense, "Harrison, how will you explain our marriage to your family?"

"There is no need to explain anything to them. I cut off all my ties with them. From the moment we get married it's only you and me for now." He holds her in arms and pushed her onto his shoulders.

"So, what are you planning to do now."

"I still have a few weeks course. First I have to finish it. For now, you have a job. We are financially somewhat secured. I have a business model which is in its incubation period now. Once it gets an approved sponsor, we will begin the business of our own."

Only they know what Job and business they meant which they don't want to hide but have to do so from each other.

When they find comfort from each other's presence, they had already reached the capital city to begin a new life with the loved one.
