Chapter 7 A Handsome Man (Part One)

Eliana and her twin sister lived with their mother. When they were twelve years old, her mother took them to T City to see their father. But before they could reach there, they met a car accident. As their car was running through the seaside highway, the brake failed and the car fell into the sea.

It was Julie Mo who saved Eliana. However, her mother and sister were missing. She didn't have any other relatives, also she didn't know where her father lived. So, she became an orphan. Julie had a younger sister, Eliana Mo, who had died a long time ago. Since then, Julie treated her as Eliana and they started living together.

Eliana and Julie had many facial similarities, so their neighbors thought they were sisters.

Julie was eight years older than Eliana; she treated her as her biological sister. She not only adopted her, but also paid for her school fees.

When Eliana grew up a little and was in her junior year of high school, Julie got pregnant. But she refused to tell the name of the baby's father.

Even when Julie gave birth to the baby, no one came to see her. Eliana was confused and helpless. She asked Julie many times before the child's birth, but she always refused to tell her anything. No matter how hard Eliana tried, she couldn't know the father's name.

Tragically, Julie died due to her difficult labor. Before she died, she couldn't even speak properly. She could only manage pronouncing a single syllable in Eliana's ear before she breathed her last. But it was impossible to find the father of the baby with only a syllable.

Abby was born with congenital heart disease. For her treatment, Eliana had to sell her house and borrow a large amount of money.

Abby had to take medicine daily and visit hospital regularly. To take care of her, Eliana had to drop out of school and work hard to earn money.

In Darren's office

"Mr. Leng, that woman's ID is fake. We couldn't find out her true identity," Saul said to Darren.

Saul's body trembled in fear as he spoke. This was the first time when he couldn't serve Darren as per his order.

"Then continue investigating." Darren couldn't believe that she disappeared from the face of the earth just like that.

Few days later, Eliana was returning after earning a huge amount of money. She was very excited to have earned so much money when she saw Marcus coming out of a luxury sports car with two beautiful women. Another two cars stopped behind his car, and about seven men who looked like hooligans came out.

They walked into the restaurant where Eliana just came out. Eliana still remembered everything that had happened that day. She glared at Marcus' receding figure and gritted her teeth. "Marcus, I'll make you suffer!"

Marcus' car didn't have the license plate yet. It must be his new car. An idea popped up in Eliana's head as she noticed that.

After looking around to make sure there was no one to monitor her activities, she took a big stone from the sidewalk nearby and brought it to the car.

She raised the stone slightly before throwing it right at the front glass of the car.

As soon as the stone hit the car, a loud roar came from behind. "You bitch! How dare you smash my car?"

Eliana turned quickly and saw Marcus, accompanied by his hooligans who were running towards her.

Her face paled in fright. She didn't expect to be caught so soon. She turned to the opposite side and ran as fast as she could while the men chased after her.

However, her high heels made it difficult to run fast. She used to be the champion of running when in school. But now she was struggling because of these high heels. She couldn't even throw them away as they cost her ten thousand dollars. Her only option was to try to run without tripping.
