Chapter 2 The Aloof Shen Clan

Cherry Shen woke up with a sharp pain. She opened her eyes.

She couldn't believe what she saw, nor could she clearly see the man's face. He seemed to have regular features and a gloomy face. Then she saw his bronze skin and broad shoulders. Obviously, he had a muscular body.

Before Cherry Shen could come to grips with the situation, the sharp pain gradually sunk her back into unconsciousness. She had no strength left to fight back. Although she was losing her virginity, which was especially precious to her, she couldn't put up a fight. Finally, in desperation, she submitted to the man's sexual demands.

In the morning, they lay in bed. Jackson Chu, always on his guard, heard a knock on the door. He opened his eyes immediately, and turned to look at the door.

Derek Lu had arrived to wake up Jackson. A military conference was going to be held today.

Derek Lu approached Jackson Chu, grinning. He looked at Jackson Chu and teased, "How do you feel? Was it good last night?

"Fuck off." Jackson Chu answered, with an angry expression on his face.

Derek Lu ignored Jackson Chu's anger and continued, "I never though my commander also loves women. Who is she?"

"I don't know." Jackson Chu replied, indifferently. Before Derek Lu could say anything else, Jackson Chu got dressed and walked out of the bedroom.

"Now tell me why you are here?" Jackson Chu asked.

Derek Lu hastily replied, "I'm here to pick you up and take you to the base for the military conference. And in the afternoon, your father wants you to come home in the military's residential compound."

Jackson Chu did not say anything. He tidied his military uniform and walked out of the room.

Then Derek Lu looked at the bedroom, turned around and walked away.

Cherry Shen woke up at noon. She opened her eyes, stared at the ceiling and looked at her surroundings. This room felt so unfamiliar.

Then the memories slowly came back. She remembered that she was drunk last night and Emily Xia had asked one of their colleagues to take her back to the hotel. Was she lying in bed in a hotel right now?

If this was the case, why did she vaguely remember a man's figure? Why couldn't she see his face clearly in her mind? It seemed that a strong and muscular male body had been on top of her last night.

Cherry Shen's mind was in a state of panic. She tore at her hair frantically and wanted to get out of bed. She had been in it for too long.

But when she tried moving her body, Cherry Shen felt a sharp pain. She broke into a cold sweat. She frowned and then almost screamed.

Cherry Shen was thinking of the man on top of her last night. At the same time, the sharp pain in her body was almost unbearable. Throwing aside the quilt, she looked down at her naked body and saw the traces of lovemaking on her snow-white skin.

Seeing the dried blood on the sheet, she burst into tears. She had not only lost the man she loved most, she had also lost her virginity. Even more ridiculous was that she had no idea who had deflowered her. Was he a man even more monstrous than that bastard John Ye?

Cherry Shen, lying in bed, stared blankly at the ceiling. At that moment, she felt dead. She had lost everything. Everything precious to her was gone. What else was left to care about?

After a long interval, she fought back the sharp pain and got out of the bed. She picked up her clothes from the floor and walked into the bathroom.

Half an hour later, Cherry Shen got out of the hotel. Watching the cars passing by on the street, she told herself that although she felt dead inside, her body was still alive. She must be tough so that she could live a good life.

As soon as Cherry Shen entered the Shen Mansion, she saw her father Harrison Shen and Jade Qiao, her so-called 'mother'. Her sister Jean Shen who had ruthlessly stolen her boyfriend, was sitting on the couch in the living room. There were broad smiles on their faces.

The maid saw Cheery Shen arrive and greeted her with a smile, "Good afternoon, miss."

Hearing the maid's voice, the other three in the living room looked towards Cherry Shen.

"You slut, why have you come back? If you hate this home, don't ever come back. We will enjoy your absence." Jade Qiao berated her harshly. Since Cheery Shen wasn't her daughter, she did not feel the need to talk to her kindly or peacefully.

Cherry Shen completely ignored Jade Qiao's harsh words. She had been living in this house for over 20 years. She had become accustomed to Jade Qiao's mean nature. She would never forget this mean woman who had spared no efforts to seduce her father and win his heart, finally resulting in him divorcing Cherry Shen's mother and marrying her instead.

Cherry Shen looked at her father, who was sitting nearby, and said, "Dad, I have come home."

"I see. Now take a seat. We're talking about your sister's wedding." Harrison Shen replied indifferently. He had never been kind to Cherry Shen. But he was not in a bad temper today.

"She's a bitch. Why should she take part in my wedding?" Jean Shen looked at Cherry Shen with contempt and resentment, as Cherry was about to sit next to her. Then she added, "Cherry Shen, I am going to make it clear to you. I'm already John Ye's girlfriend. His mother has promised me that I will be her daughter-in-law."
