Chapter 4 Hiding

Ma'am keira, i'm here to pick you up"a man tucked in a well tailored suit, his brows neatly shaved and his hair combed to the back of his head. He was the perfect definition of handsome. Keira had thought lewis was most handsome but seeing the muscular man now, made her realize she must have thought highly of her boyfriend.

"What the hell do you mean by 'ma'am keira, i'm here to pick you up?" Lewis asked, mimicking his words.

The man knitted his brows in a frown yet, he was still way more handsome than ever. "I'm sure I wasn't referring to you, young man! You should learn to speak when you're spoken to! Don't poke your nose into other people's discussions." the man blurted out in a cold sharp voice.

His voice alone sent shivers down Lewis's spine. This alone made him dislike the man even more. Was he probably the man Keira was leaving me for? Is it because of his handsome looks and annoying voice? Different thoughts kept running through his head as he wouldn't stop glaring daggers at the man in front of them.

Lewis was about replying to him but Keira beat him to it.

"Mr, who are you please?" Keira asked, she had never set her eyes on this man before now. So, why would he suddenly come over to pick her up to god knows where.

"I'm Alex, the personal assistant to your betrothed husband. He had ordered me to come over and pick you up. I need to drop you off at home now. You've got a wedding to plan and couldn't be seen around some annoying dudes!" Alex said with his last statement becoming more hostile as he was busy glaring at Lewis whose mouth was opened in awe at the way Alex had just addressed him.

"You're the annoying dude here, Alex or whatever your name is! You should better return back to your boss and inform him my girlfriend isn't interested in getting married to his dumb ass! He should go get a different betrothed and leave my girlfriend alone!'' Lewis yelled out. All eyes turned towards them. Lewis' voice had drawn the attention of everyone.

"Oh really?you have no right to decide what happens and what doesn't. Ma'am keira, are you going to go against your husband's order and also your family's decision just to stay with this loser?'' Alex asked, his gaze solely on Keira's face.

Keira's body was literally shaking. She never expected all of such drama's to happen. She had wanted to inform Lewis about her marriage and then leave quietly.

But then, how did her supposed betrothed knew about her location? Was he stalking her? She thought as she just didn't know what to think anymore. Everyone were just acting weirdly around her.

"How did you know where to find me?" Keira inquired, as she couldn't stop herself from asking Alex.

"That doesn't matter right now, ma'am keira. Please give a reply to my earlier question. Let's get this over with once and for all."Alex uttered.

Lewis was anxious and wondered if Keira was going to choose him or her supposed betrothed.

"I..i..uhm '' Keira kept stuttering while scratching the nape of her neck.

After a while, she uttered " please just take me home"this was the only word she could think of at that moment. She didn't want to hurt Lewis's feelings but he was already hurt and there's nothing she could do about it.

Keira quickly got up from her seat and began hurrying out of the restaurant in long strides. She knew Lewis would come after her and that was right.

Lewis flung himself off his seat and tried going after her but was stopped by Alex who was still standing behind waiting for Keira to be out of sight.

"Get the hell out of my way you cunning master!"Lewis yelled and tried shoving him off his way but that was impossible.

"This should be the first and last warning coming from my boss, Mr lewis! My boss doesn't want to see you anywhere around his woman else, be ready to battle with you. You should know he isn't someone of your caliber!"Alex warned and tried storming off but was held back by lewis.

"Who the hell is your boss, huh? You can tell your boss to go to hell with his lame threats! Keira is my woman and ten sizes of him won't be able to take her away from me. Her heart beats for me alone and if she were to get married to your boss, she would still be running back to my arms.'' Lewis uttered with a chuckle that deepened Alex's frown.

"You're trying to play games, right? Well, lets see who laughs last by getting the woman as his. Either you or my boss!" Alex smiled at him' taps on his shoulders before storming off.

He left the restaurant but couldn't find keira. He knew almost immediately that she had played a fast one on him. He shouldn't have been so careless to allow her make her way out without him following closely behind her.

He retrieved his phone from his pants pocket and dialed a number. After a few rings, the cold voice of the person rang out from the other end.

"What's it, Alex?"the person from the other end asked.

"Mr Tristan, I'm deeply sorry but I had lost track of her due to that rascal boyfriend of hers who wouldn't stop trying to prove a point."Alex uttered with a frown at the thought of Lewis' words earlier.

Mr Tristan's face deepens with an extreme coldness. He can't believe she had begun going against his orders when they weren't even yet married! What then happens when they've eventually gotten married? Mr Tristan says while staring into space.

"Quickly head to her house and inquire if she had arrived home or she's probably in hiding and awaiting that Lewis of a guy!'' Mr Tristan passed out the order before swiftly hanging up.

Alex sighed, tucked his phone back into his pants pocket before driving out of the restaurant.

The moment he was out of sight, a little figure crept out of hiding.
