The wedding venue was a large hall than they had imagined. Even though only their families will be attending it, still he booked a large palace like this. They were invited by the butlers when they got off of the car.
Jane was taken inside by a maid who was quite older from her perspective. The maid opens the door to a room and she walks inside. It was a dressing room just for her only. This sent goosebumps throughout her entire body.
The make-up artist and the stylist both
were standing side by side with a smile on their faces. The stylist brought the dress and Jane was left speechless seeing how much pretty it was. She was told to put it on to check the size.
It was a pure white dress with a light blue ribbon surrounding her waist, and frills all over the place with heart-shaped chest and open back with laces. The make-up artist helped her get ready.
It took her one hour to get ready and when she looked at herself in the mirror after the make-up, she couldn't believe her eyes.
"Is this......how I look all the time?" she asked herself, touching her face in the mirror.
"Time for the veil, let me help you," said the stylish guy.
"Why's she not here yet?" Karl mumbled, waiting with his family members who were sitting at the front seat. "Where's the bride?" asked the Father who was in charge of being their witness in this marriage. Karl went to talk with him.
"She's getting ready, please be patient a little."
"I'll call her right away." When he dialed her number he could hear the sound of footsteps coming his way. It was then he saw, Jane walking down the aisle with her dad and mom on both sides. Karl's family was surprised to see this, as a result, they got up from their seats. Jane reminded him of no less than an angel at the moment. The way her hair was up and the white gown made her look like a woman descended from heaven. As her veil was up he couldn't see her face yet, but he could only imagine her beauty.
Karl went to his position and waited for her dad to walk up to him. When they stood in front of Karl, her mom came forward and held onto the hand of Karl staring at him with tearful eyes. "I am handing you over my pride and joy,
and my good luck. Please take care of her, and make her happy. I can't ask you for more than this. I hope you'll live up to my expectation."
He placed his other hand on top of hers and smiled. "I'll make sure to live up to your expectations and make your daughter happy. Don't worry." "After this, all of her responsibilities are mine. I'll look after her as much as I can. Believe me."
"Thank you," her mom left his hands and went to meet up with Karl's family who was waiting for the bride.
His dad took her by the arm and handed her over to Karl.
"From now on, her responsibility is yours, give her the respect that she deserves. I want nothing more than that "
"I'll make sure you don't regret your decision " promised.
Karl took her and went to stand in front of the Father, standing across from each other. The father nods in approval saying, "Lift the veil, the ceremony shall take place now." Karl nod and reaches out his hand towards Jane. But before he could lift the veil, she backed away. Everyone present was surprised to see that happening.
"Anything wrong miss?" asked the Father.
"Why aren't you letting him lift the veil?".
"Uh...".
"I'm sorry. I did that out of reflex," stuttered Jane as her heart was beating much faster than before. "Please go ahead," she said to Karl.
"Uh.. sure."
Karl placed his hands on the side of the veil and lifted it revealing her face clearly to him.
When their eyes met, his heart also skipped a beat seeing her cute baby-like face. He almost forget what he was supposed to do after this.
"Please bring in the rings, the engagement will start now," Father announced breaking in the silence.
