Chapter 3 New Room

Kyra's POV

"Get back to bed."

"No!" I refused.

I remained at the corner, shocked at Roderick's plan to sleep with me.

I just had to stand my ground, no matter what and stop him from getting closer to me.

Unfortunately, it didn't work.

He came closer to me again, like the demon he was, and this time around, he didn't toss me into bed.

He pinned my hands against the wall while his lips found their way to my neck.

I was irritated by it and struggled to break free from this nightmare.

"Leave me!" I begged, still feeling his lips trailing my neck with kisses.

When he attempted to take my clothes off again, I panicked and increased my struggles.

"ENOUGH!" Roderick roared.

Fear filled me when I heard that voice. I looked at his face and noticed how intense his eyes glowed, and his fangs were almost bulging out.

It terrified me because this was the first time I was seeing this.

He was truly a demon.

"Don't push me to the point of hurting you, or you'll regret it," he threatened.

His hands tightened around mine. I could feel his claws almost digging into my flesh.

"You're a weak wolf. Stop trying to act all tough. You should be grateful that someone like me wants to touch you, instead of acting all stubborn," he said to me.

That word hit me like a ton of bricks.

He just called me a weak wolf like my father, stepmother and Pack members.

"I saw how everyone hated you back at your Pack and couldn't wait to get rid of you. It's clear you are worthless to them, and no one wants you."

"That's... That's not... True," I stammered, trying to prove him wrong.

But Alpha Roderick laughed at me mockingly. His laughter sent terror through me.

"If it isn't true, why, then, did your dear father accept a couple of silver coins to sell you off? Why did he trade you for his people? Explain that to me, Kyra," he challenged.

I felt ashamed just hearing all those words from his mouth. It made me regret ever being born into the Redwood Pack as the daughter of the Alpha.

"I'm giving you a chance to be useful to me, and you're acting all high and mighty. You are in my Pack now. Keep that in mind from now on." He grabbed me closer to himself, squeezing my arm.

I winced at the strong grip. Before I knew it, I found myself back in bed again.

Roderick came to the bed, trying to get on me. I turned over and looked at his face.

He was a handsome man with every feature that a woman would desire. But his status as the Devil Alpha planted fear in all. It was something that kept every woman away from him, including me.

I watched how his body pressed down on me as he got ready to take off my clothes.

When I felt the closeness of his body, I immediately screamed, "No!"

And just like that, Alpha Roderick got off me.

I looked and saw that he was fuming. He was glaring at me with rage in his eyes.

Before I knew it, he dragged me out of bed and right out of the room.

"What are you doing? Let me go!" I yelled at him, but he didn't listen to me.

He kept dragging me through the hallway to goddess knows where, and all the servants we came across couldn't do anything but hide their faces in fear.

He dragged me to the dungeon below his home and locked me up in one of the cells.

A heavy smell, strong enough to kill a person, engulfed me. I looked back and found bones in the cell.

I screamed, begging him to open the dungeon door and let me out.

"Since you want to be stubborn, you will spend the night here as punishment," he said and walked away.

"Please! Get me out of here!" I cried, but no one was around to help me.

The strong smell of the dead wolves made me vomit in the cell. I had to rip a part of my dress and cover my nose. I stayed near the bars for fresh air.

But it was useless.

Goddess, why is all this happening to me? What crime did I commit?" I sobbed.

I spent the night in the dungeon and was freed in the morning by a guard, who took me back to my room.

Those two maids from last night came in with a fresh set of clothes and made my bath. I had no choice but to bathe. I scrubbed hard to remove the smell of that place from me.

When I finally washed up and got dressed, Alpha Roderick came back again!

He tried to force himself on me again, and I refused him, and just like last night, Roderick punished me.

This time, he didn't send me to the dungeon. He got a whip of his own and struck me with it.

I cried in pain, bearing this torment.

"You want to be stubborn, don't you?" He kept striking.

Not satisfied, he sent me to a part of the mansion where he had lots of animals for butchering and made me clean up their dung.

I did all of these while I was watched by his guards, who were told to whip me if I tried to act stubborn.

Despite all of these, I still didn't allow Roderick to touch me, and that made him furious, increasing my punishment.

He took me out of the bedroom and dropped me at another part of the dungeon, declaring it my new room.

"You'll only be treated better when you submit to me," he said to me.

Even though this dungeon was uncomfortable, it was still better than the one filled with corpses.

But I still felt pain from all the beatings I endured. It made me wish for nothing but death from the goddess.

"Please, take my life," I begged the goddess.
