"She's a crazy woman! What's the point of keeping so many things?" Yuvrelina just put her suitcase there. She walked around, looking at all the items displayed in the room. There were many photos of Barbie with large frames. Yuvrelina tried to pose to imitate her while standing in front of the mirror. "Why can't it be similar at all?" She complained, shaking her head. When she saw her face in the mirror, she suddenly remembered her daughter. "Ana won't recognize me anymore." She said, touching her own cheek. Unconsciously, her tears fell on her cheeks.
Downstairs, Mike was impatiently waiting for Yuvrelina to come down. So were Kelvin and Keyvan Miland.
"This woman!" Mike complained, about to stand up from his chair. He was stopped by the sound of footsteps from the upper floor to the lower floor. Mike looked towards the stairs. He saw Yuvrelina had changed into an evening gown. The thin, slightly revealing dress amazed him. It turned out that not only Yuvrelina's face resembled Barbie's, but also Yuvrelina's professional posture made him even more convinced that the woman was the perfect choice to be his wife's replacement, who had disappeared, nobody knew where!
"Dad, what's wrong?" Kelvin asked his father. It was unusual for his father to look at his mother like that. Mike had always been indifferent and uncaring. Kelvin Miland, a twelve-year-old teenager, was Mike's first son.
"Nothing." Mike replied, picking up his glass and taking a sip of its contents.
Keyvan, the ten-year-old child, just stared at his brother and father without saying anything.
Yuvrelina had reached the dining table. She saw an empty chair next to Mike or a chair next to Keyvan. Of course, as Yuvrelina, she would choose to sit next to Keyvan. She walked towards Keyvan and Kelvin. Yuvrelina put her arms around both of them from behind. The two children were very surprised. Their mother had never been so warm before.
"What are you waiting for? Let's eat! You must be very hungry waiting for Mom." Yuvrelina smiled, looking at the two children who were now looking at her. Keyvan and Kelvin looked at Yuvrelina with confused expressions.
Yuvrelina saw fear clearly painted on their faces. Not long after, the two children nodded and simultaneously gave Yuvrelina a kiss on the cheek.
"Mom changed perfume?" Kelvin asked, sniffing Yuvrelina's clothes. The scent this time was softer than the usual scent.
"Ah, yes, I felt like changing to something new. Which one do you like? This one or the previous one?" Yuvrelina asked Kelvin without hesitation.
"This one is okay, but the one yesterday smelled more expensive." Keyvan interjected. The child had already taken a spoonful of rice and placed it on his plate.
Yuvrelina looked at Mike. Mike stared at her togetherness with his two children.
"Eat!" Yuvrelina said to Mike, smiling softly. She pulled the chair and sat next to him. She took a glass to take a sip of water.
"Thank you." Mike whispered with a sincere look.
Yuvrelina almost choked, unconsciously she froze, holding her glass with her cheeks puffed full of water. She was too surprised to hear it. Yuvrelina didn't have time to think about putting her glass on the table.
At first, Mike was also quite surprised because Barbie would never do all that. Barbie usually sat and took two or three bites into her mouth and then quickly left the dining room. But seeing his two sons so comfortable talking to Barbie, who was actually Yuvrelina, Mike couldn't ruin the happiness he witnessed for the first time from the light in his two sons' eyes.
"Did I hear wrong? This cruel man just thanked me?" Yuvrelina wondered to herself. To dispel the awkwardness, Yuvrelina quickly grabbed a tissue to wipe her own lips while staring at the two boys across from her. Kelvin and Keyvan, both were also staring at Yuvrelina and Mike. Next, the two children exchanged glances with each other and then simultaneously shrugged their shoulders.
Yuvrelina didn't understand what was happening, so after dinner ended, she decided to greet Mike's two sons without Mike's knowledge. Besides, she wanted to investigate where Mike Miland was hiding Ana, her biological daughter. But it turned out she didn't get the response she expected from Kelvin and Keyvan. Every time she tried to be friendly with the two children, they just smiled for a moment and then returned to their indifferent and unconcerned attitude. Yuvrelina didn't want to give up. She had decided to keep finding out where Ana was.
After talking at length with the two children without getting any results, Yuvrelina came out of Kelvin and Keyvan's room. Yuvrelina looked disappointed, her expression was very clear because Yuvrelina was frowning and sighing a lot. Yuvrelina didn't know that Mike was standing not far from her. Mike had just come out of his office and saw Yuvrelina coming out of Kelvin and Keyvan's room.
"You won't get anything from my two sons!" Mike lit his cigarette, Mike cocked his chin towards the stairs. He wanted Yuvrelina to follow him upstairs.
Hesitantly, Yuvrelina walked up the stairs, Mike following her from behind. Yuvrelina's hand looked shaky. Mike could see it when it shifted on the railing of the stairs. Yuvrelina's footsteps stopped right in front of the door to their room.
"What are you waiting for? Get in!" Mike ordered her.
Slowly Yuvrelina entered her room, Mike also entered and closed the door.
"Where's Ana?" Yuvrelina asked, turning her body. She looked at the cold and cruel man's face with a hopeful gaze.
"Do your job well, every few days someone will come to deliver news to you. Your mother-in-law is almost recovered, your daughter is also safe. They are both fine, so what are you worried about?" Mike asked, looking down, puffing out his cigarette smoke right in front of Yuvrelina's face.
