Chapter 7 Celestial Moon pack

That's the only time I got to speak with Callian until the plane landed and now we're on our way to the pack as I speak. I haven't had the chance to contact my handler yet but I will soon. I'm dialing away on my phone to check if her calls have been intercepted in case anyone wants to reach Anika alas it has but I can't find Callian's phone number.

He doesn't have a phone?

Disappointed, I stuff my phone in my handbag and then fix my eyes on the road. Occasionally, I'll catch Manny staring at me.

"What is it, Manny? You have been staring at me for some time now. Don't you have something to say?" He quickly averts his eyes elsewhere but I have already caught him. Only for him to look up and meet my sharp eyes

" I'm sorry Luna, I'm just worried about you. Savannah isn't exactly your friend and alpha look pissed " loyal gamma. Unable to find a retort, I hum and then sigh.

" Can't you talk to him? I'm sure he didn't mean it" I have talked to him alright and he meant it. Manny is such a nice guy and Anika is lucky to have a gamma as nice as him but I'm not Anika. I don't grovel. Whoever that Savannah is, I'm taking her down. Her days of tyranny are over.

" I'll be fine. It's just a duel, not a fight to the death" he stares at me suspiciously like I don't know what I'm talking about but I shrug it off. That's his problem.

Speaking of problems, the tires screech, and the car comes to a stop. The driver alighted and then walk around the car to open the door for me. It takes about five minutes before I step out of the car to look at the beautiful horizon, a place I once called my home! The green forest, the fresh air, the indistinct smell from all the wolves in the pack, and the alpha tower. Everything has changed, from the inhabitants to the pack house and lastly the environment, the pack has tall buildings as we do in human civilization.

Pups are running around, men and women going to and fro to their various destinations. Many of them bore their neck to welcome me while others ignored me. I wave then curtsied to appreciate which is awkward since I didn't learn how she greets her people. No one seems to mind though.

" They're surprised to see you," Manny tells me and I hum. Someone is boring holes in my head , I can feel it, so I looked up over the horizon and saw a girl staring down at me. Her gaze was so intense that I can tell she wasn't a friend.

"Savannah. I almost forgot about the duel. You have to get ready" my gaze lingers on the muscular figure of Savannah in the tower even though I can hear Manny clearly.

" No shit. Good thing is, I'm always late. So I need some food and a bath" Manny chuckles probably about to disagree with me but I wave him off.

" Just lead the way " he opens his mouth to say something then closes it. He nods and began trailing to one of the tall buildings around. I don't ask questions cos I'm supposed to know that building.

This is going to be more difficult than I thought.

" What will you like to eat, Luna?"

" The usual. Something light preferably" I tell him by pretending to be busy with my phone, so he would show me the way to my room and he didn't disappoint . Few steps into the tower and he's by a huge door holding it open for me.

" I'll have to relay your message to the pack cook. If she's not at the auditorium already " he says waiting for a reply. I bypass him, entering the room before giving him one.

" Sure. I'll shower up while you do that" he curtsies and I smile at him as he closes the door. Spinning around I take my coat off and skim my eyes around the exotic room and nods. She's living the life alright. I couldn't care less. I would be thrilled to have her punished by the council for killing an alpha.

Always.

Finding the bathroom wasn't hard despite the luxurious bedroom and exotic designs especially when it's designed like a cubicle at the extreme end of the room . Transparent cubicle actually. Slipping out of my dress, I let it drop to the floor then walked Into the bathroom. Two minutes in the bathroom and I can hear the bell toll. It got to be a really huge bell cos the sound is deafening.

Quickly, I wash myself and exit the bathroom to find two girls with sets of armour in their hands. Their faces looks oddly familiar so, I can tell they were the omegas responsible for Anika's upkeep.

" Luna, your clothes are ready and we brought some food too" the brunette says and I nod trailing to the dressing room while they followed. Skilfully, they help me with the heavy armour which I find unnecessary.

" Everyone is waiting for you outside. I remember the last time I saw you in these. You were bleeding profusely. There was so much blood that I feared for your life. Are you sure, this is a good idea?" The other omega said and I can pick up a weird scent from her. It's like I can sense her fear for me.

Which is odd.

" This is different Penelope. Stop that" the brunette scolds her and I chuckle.

" I'm sure Isla was just worried about her Luna. Nothing to get defensive for" A voice says behind us and thanks to him, I know their names; Penny and Isla.

" Beta Stephen" they said in unison with their head lowered but Stephen's eyes are on me.

" Be careful little sister. You're all I have left" he coos, causing a sting in my chest. Twitching my mouth a little, I nod at him then exit the dressing room to grab two apples from the tray of food in the dining room, as I took a bite from them, I caught Steph staring at me with his brow furrowed.

Ignoring his scrutinizing gaze , I gulp a cup of milk and pull down on the short dress like armour I'm putting on" let's not keep the alpha waiting" Steph hums leading the way.

As we approach the noisy auditorium, Steph slows down, so I can meet up with him.

" Fight with pride Annie. Remember, you don't have anything to prove" simple instructions which I guess Always worked on Anika.

By the time we arrived at the arena, The noise and howls from the crowd already got me excited so I looked up from entrance to see Callian seated at the high table with his hand on his chin. I don't know what happened but I want to prove myself to him. There's this thing inside of me that wants to please him.

" No, I have everything to prove to myself. Let's get this over with" I exclaimed then walked into the arena with my head high and shoulders squared.
