Chapter 6 Almost caught

Kiara had the best sex of her life 2 days again. She couldn't get it off her mind. Anytime she thought about it, she always felt giddy, like a high schooler falling in love for the first time. Since he stayed over the weekend, they exchanged a lot of glances, with unspoken words communicated through their eyes.

She got up from her bed, around 9 A.M., and decided that she wanted to make some iced tea in the kitchen. She originally wanted to pay a visit to Luca in his room, but upon realizing that his door was locked, she postponed it till later and decided to make breakfast for him.

Meanwhile, Luca was in his room, talking with someone over the phone. "Just do it and make it snappy too," he yelled, bringing his voice down to a hushed whisper, "Remember you can't let anyone see you, okay?" The foreign voice over the phone gave an affirmative reply, which made Luca hum in satisfaction.

"Damian mustn't know about this either, otherwise it'll all be screwed up," he reminded, making sure to warn him well. He hung up the phone, running his hand through his hair and pacing around his room. It would all be fine, it would work out.

He stepped out of his room and headed to the kitchen. "What are you making? Smells delicious." He watched from behind as Kiara made an omelet, frying bacon in another pan. His eyes traveled over her ass before he made his way over to her, "And you look so sexy in this apron," he whispered gently, untying the rope at the back and feeling her up.

Just then, Maria walked into the kitchen and saw Luca's hand dancing around her daughter's body. "What's this?" She asked, narrowing her eyes. Kiara's heart sunk to her ass, as she became a nervous mess.

"Uh, hey Mom, Luca was just helping me tie my apron, it came loose." She lied, hoping that her mom didn't witness any physical touches. Maria stared for a while, looking between them, before she chuckled gently. "Well, you two are on good terms now, hm? That's amazing, amore." She moved towards Kiara, kissing her on the cheek. "You know, you two would be the last people on earth I would've expected to make up," she placed her bag on the kitchen island, rummaging through and arranging it, "But it's great to see you two getting along now." She smiled warmly, placing her bag over her shoulder.

"I'll be going to visit Lisbeth, I'll be out for a while, Ki, okay?" She mentioned, before heading out.

"Jesus, Luca! That was close," She half-screamed quietly, as she placed a breakfast tray on the table. "What if she had caught us, hm?" Her brows wrinkled as she poured a glass of orange juice for him.

"But, she didn't." He smiled, patting her head. "Well, I have to go, so make sure you have your breakfast." She mumbled, taking off her apron and hanging it on the hangers in the pantry.

"Why?" He pulled her in, kissing her gently. "Mmm, not now," she pulled away, as she resisted every urge to kiss him and drag him into the bedroom. "Please stay, princess." He begged, his facial expression changing to a sad one.

"I have some shopping to do for the orphanage home downtown, I won't stay out too long." She clarified, hugging him tightly. "Okay darling, I'll catch up with you later."

**

Kiara was already downtown, in a supermart, to get some clothes and toys for the particular orphanage home she wanted to visit. As she was coming out after a couple hours of shopping, juggling three large bags, she heard someone call out her name. She looked around, but couldn't see anyone, so she kept on going. Only for...the same voice to call her again.

The person calling out for her sounded familiar. She squinted her eyes and saw a pretty lady with blonde hair, standing right by her car, flailing her arms out in the air. Kiara moved closer to her car, "Oh my goodness, Cleo, is that you?" She exclaimed, jumping for joy.

"Yes, it's meeeee," she giggled. "Oh em gee, how long has it been, girl?!" She pulled her in for a tight hug, suffocating her with her vanilla-scented perfume.

"I mean, it's been a hot minute. I love what you did with your hair by the way," she relaxed into the hug, embracing her friend of 4 years. "What are you doing here?" She asked, knowing it wasn't regular to see Kiara downtown.

"Oh, I came shopping for the orphanage right around the corner. Just needed to make a little bit of donations."

"Ohhhh, yeah. That's amazing, great!" She nodded, unlocking her car. "It was lovely talking to you babes, we should catch up over a night out, don't you think? Just text me!" She yelled as she got into her car and started the ignition.

"Okay, bye Cleo!"

"Bye Kiki!" She blew a kiss, driving off.

**

Back at the office, Damian found himself buried in various files. The calculations weren't just adding up, it all was a blur to him. It seemed like the money had been moved from the company's account to an external account, but there was no trace of the account that the money was sent to and no tracking identification as well.

He phoned his secretary, telling her to send the accountant, Killian, up to his office. When Killian arrived, Damian interrogated him, "Where's the money, Killian?"

"I-I don't know sir," Killian said, confused as to why Mr. Lux would think he took money.

"The ledgers don't add up, do you think I'm stupid?" Damian spat, throwing the papers in Killian's face. Killian's face flushed red with embarrassment, "But sir, it wasn't me! I know nothing of it!" Killian pleaded, bowing his head.

Just then, someone barged into his office, "It's the accountant! I have the evidence right here."
