Chapter 9 The wedding must continue II

When it became apparent that the bride is not coming back today, the priest suggested postponement of the marriage.

"Mr. Bon-Hwa would it be okay for you if the marriage is postponed till your bride comes back?"

The priest of God asked in his priestly voice.

"With due respect sir, I can't ever postpone the marriage!" Rohan roared like a lion. Even though he was trying to maintain some level of respect to the man of God.

Two international catering companies had been hired to cook; one group was to cater for the stomach of those who would come to the church, while the other group was to cater for those who would come to the reception at Hotel De Tycoon.

While the bride was being awaited, Rohan ordered the food to be served to everyone. Everyone in the church was busy eating and drinking while the couple was yet to be joined.

Mr. Chin Elvis reiterated what the priest has said and pleaded with Rohan

"Please Mr. Bon-Hwa , just give me some few days, and I would bring back my daughter." He uttered with a shaking voice.

"That can never be! am getting married today or never." He roared like a lion.

His eyes were red with anger.

Even in his anger, frustration and 'come near and get killed' temperament. He was looking dashing and very handsome in his hand-made blue colored suit.

In the inner pocket of the suit was a pistol.

He brought out the pistol and pointed it at Mr. Chin Elvis; the father of the bride. Saying to him.

"You have thirty minutes to bring back your daughter or get killed".

Everyone in the church office was very shocked and looked at him in dismay.

"I have to present my bride to my club today with a certificate from the church confirming the wedding ceremony, otherwise, I would not only be losing one-hundred and five billion dollars.

I will also lose my position as the president of my club. Which I can never allow because of you and your stupid daughter." He fumed.

There were about one-hundred and five members in the Big Brothers Club BBC in Vareen country.

And each member of the club contributes one billion dollars when any member is having a serious ceremony like marriage ceremony.

Rohan has contributed this money for the past seven years for others and today was his turn.

If the money is missed that day, it was always difficult and sometimes impossible to receive all the money.

Secondly, according to the constitution of the club, no member is allowed to become the president without being married.

But because of Rohan status as the number one financer of the club, he had been elected on concession, and was given an ultimatum and a deadline to get married 'on' or 'before' that particular date or lose his position as the president of the club.

Bon-Hwa Ren Donatus was vehemently and openly against the concession, and this brought a very great

face-off between the two men.

It is at the venue of the reception that each member of the club, would bring out his own money; whichever form that is suitable to him preferably check.

Now that the bride has ran away, it therefore means that the wedding would not be taking place, and the reception would not also take place.

A wedding reception cannot take place without a wedding. And a wedding cannot take place without a bride.

If the wedding is postponed as suggested by the priest and the bride's father, then Rohan would lose his one hundred and five billion dollars.

And would also lose his position as the president of Big Brothers Club (BBC).

And after today, he can get married, but the BBC club own him no obligation.

And secondly, he can't possibly bear the shame of being abandoned in the church by a woman, he must get out of this church with a wife.

"You see Mr. .Mr.. what is that your name again " he said with insult to his would have been father in –law.

One would wonder if he has forgotten the name or he purposely wanted to insult the man in the presence of many people.

He was simply too annoyed to care who and who was present.

"Mr. Chin" Elvis replied humbly.

Chin Elvis who before now had been reduced to nothing as a result of his business failure, care very little the type of insult he was receiving from the young man.

Since Rohan miraculously became engaged to his daughter Chin Sun; some three years ago or so, things has become better in the family. Rohan has been a life line, a family savior.

Although, Rohan doesn't personally care or visit, but he supplies every need of the family, except if Chin Sun has not told him about it.

Why Chin Sun would muster the courage to do this, is what baffles her father and mother.

"Mr. Chin or whatever you call yourself." Rohan mocked Elvis. But there was no humor about him.

"Am a business man, I can't afford to lose more than a hundred billion dollars from my club.

And secondly, as a political and social animal I can't afford to lose my position as the president of my club.

And as a man, I have my pride, so I can't afford to get out of this auditorium without a wife. I can't bear the shame." He said expressionlessly.

"My daughter is just but a child, she thinks like a child, please give us little time to find her."

Elvis did not know what to say, he has to pacify the man by telling him Chin Sun was just a child.

'A child at 25?'

This made him angrier and he brought out his gun again and pointed at the man.

"Twenty-five minutes more, and I would blow off your head. And nobody would stand up to me."

If he would be able to shoot the man inside the church, was what no one can bet on.

But that nobody would stand up to him if he commits a crime was the truth. Only the police authority was in a better position to stand up to him.

But he was an FBI officer in Vareen country and the police authority not only works under the FBI, but also work in synergy with FBI.

With his money and influence, the case could be swept under the carpet.

The man had no option than to run for his dear life by seeking out a solution.

As he and his wife ran out of the church office, they were confused. 'what will they do?'
