Chapter 5 Is that all

After morning meal a boy was seen immersed in the books of magic in his room. Whom being none other than Suzal. Currently he had finished reading some basic knowledge of magic.

Like how there are various elements of magic, them being space, light, dark, fire, water, earth, thunder, etc. And many more.

Also the fact that they are ranked according to strength. From F rank to SSS rank. To be honest there could be more powerful too. But in history no-one has ever achieved this except few notable individuals.

Now he had to read the concept of magic. In book then there was a introduction of magic. It was written:-

"Magic is like a second part of our body. Almost all people are born with it while there are some rare cases too of people being born without it. And having less or more magic is common too. So magic is basically like an energy source for us.

It is useful in combat spell, healing spell, elemental spell or even other mystical powers. The main source of magic can be called mana too. The average rate of unlocking it is being 5 years old. But there are rare cases of unlocking it at more younger age too."

"I see. Which means it would be quite impossible for me to unlock it right now. But it did said that there are some rare cases too. Let's read more." He muttered as he turned the page.

Then he read how to unlock the magic. Appearently he could do it by meditation and in the process, trying to search for a warm or some sort of power feeling at the inwardly part of stomach.

Tomorrow morning.

"Phew! finally I finished reading all these books. And now I have a clear concept of magic. And I feel like I could perform my first ever skill anytime soon." He muttered as he closed the book and proceeded to keep it in an empty shelf.

Then without further ado he started doing meditation. He then entered towards the deep state of his mind then imagined the flow of magic through out his magic circuit in his body.

5 minutes passed...

10 minutes passed...

20 minutes passed...

Then now he was totally immersed in his subconscious state of mind. Then he could detect some slight movements inside his body almost like he had another part of his body in his body. And the amount was increasing slowly.

After 10 minutes...

Now, the mana or the slight movements inside his body, had flowed equally on every part of his body. He could now feel it and control at any moment, but suddenly he could hear a knock on his door.

And the process of unlocking mana or magic stopped the moment his attention was fixed elsewhere. Such that he stood up and stretched himself as he had stiffened his body due to sitting in a place for a long period of time.

"Please come in." He said. And from there came his beautiful mom, Seiryu Lily.

"Alright Suzal, it's time for breakfast. Huh? Did you finished reading all those?" Lily asked him bewildered how could he finish those books in such short time.

'Well being a university student before has it's perks, plus this is middle school level material.' He thought inwardly.

"Yes mom. I finished it, well let's go for breakfast." He said in a happy tone as he and his mom walked towards the dining room.

"So Suzal, from what you read can I ask you? What you think magic is?" Lily asked him.

"Sure. Well without going deep. At first glance anyone would say that it would be cool or fascinating to be able to use magic. Almost like a kid. But they are wrong. Magic is a tool used to defeat others, hurt others, wage wars and many more. But that's not the whole story. It can used to help others too. Through healing magic. Protecting them with spells from monsters, etc. Ultimately what defines magic is that it is a boon but a blessing too. It depends on how we use it." He replied his opinion. And like usual he had managed to go beyond expectations of others.

"I see. I am really glad you said so." She said as she whispered the last part. To which Suzal was little curious to what she had said, but shrugged it off.

At Grafiel's office.

"Once again???" He literally screamed seeing the paper which contained report from one of his most trusted subordinate.

"Yeah the movements of monsters are very weird since last few years. Aside from that there's nothing more special. All the other things are ordinary." He replied with a very grim place.

"So there are no traces of them when there should be but there are traces of them where they shouldn't be, huh." He said. As he thought.

'Truly weird. I just hope it's nothing bad.'

While currently at the Seiryu household Suzal and Lily had finished their breakfast. And today since his father won't train him due to some official work he decided to spend some time with his friends then practice magic.

At the playground of the village.

"Hey, you know. Somewhat without him it's quite lonely, isn't it?" Rachel asked in a tone which suggests she was currently feeling empty.

"Oe oe it has been only like a day since you have seen him you know." Oscar said though he too wanted to meet his friend quickly.

"Well well who could have guessed my cute friends had missed me so much." Suzal said with a smiling friends.

As the wind blow both of them turned back to find him standing there. Their best friend Suzal.

"Suzal!!!" Both of them said, and went running towards him.

"Yo!" Suzal said while raising his hand.

"Hey! Suzal you know what, that was the best fight I had ever seen in my life. You were very cool out there performing those moves." Rachel said while praising him.

"So were you able to convince them with that?" Oscar asked.

"Wait, with what?" Rachel exclaimed. As she was still in dark of this particular information.

"Well the thing is I don't wanna be a mayor but I want to be an adventurer. And if I'd win the match I would be allowed to become one." Suzal explained.

"Wow! You wanted to become an Adventurer? Cool. But now you won't be able to become one right? Since you couldn't..." She said with a pityingly face.

"Oe don't pity me. I lost the battle but won the war." Suzal said.

"As expected of you Suzal." Oscar said smirking.

"Wait, why am in the dark about this too?" Rachel almost shouted.

"Haha! well basically I managed to convince them into becoming one. An adventurer." Suzal said.

"I see. But how?" She asked.

"Anyway let's forget about me, let's do our usual thing." Suzal said.

"Alright." Said Oscar.

"Alright, let's begin." Rachel said.

'I see. How interesting. I must report this to my superior as soon as possible.' Among those two one of them thought.

Soon weeks later.

Currently it was about 15:30 pm, and we could see Suzal meditating in his room. As usual. At the outside of his window one could hear the birds chirping. The gust of the wind. But Suzal wasn't focused on this.

He was truly focused on the inner energy circulating through his body, seizing the opportunity to control it. As he wished to possess a perfect control and command over it before activating his first ever spell in this world.

And soon he had reached the state where one could see mana flowing all over his body from outside. And also his hair had turned slight upward with the mana, almost like floating in the air. And now at this moment, he reached the state he wanted to be in.

'Finally, I achieved it.' He thought.

Soon he opened his eyes. And now he could see everything more clearly than before. His perception, strength, speed, etc. Everything had sky rocketed as compared to before. Feeling excited he immediately went towards the training area.

He then first imagined it, mana.

Soon he could feel the energy surging inside his body. Then he let that energy spread all throughout his body. Then he decided to test his strength first. Then he saw a tree nearby. He decided to punch it.

He now particularly focused the mana in his fist. Then he stood nearby a tree. Slowly he raised his hand, then adjusting a boxing position he pushed his left leg forward then rotated it, applying force from all the way there to his body to his fist he threw a solid straight punch.

Bam!

Soon a huge crater like hole appeared in the tree, and it fell down. 'I see. So this is the power of magic.' He thought as he looked at his hand.

"I am gonna become more and more stronger now. And hopefully I find my answers. And Sensumo. This thing I must investigate it about too." He muttered as he thought.

'Yare yare, too much work to do.'

Soon he reached home. And today there he could see Mr. Oliver and Mr. Alden too. Along with his friends Oscar and Rachel. And the atmosphere was actually a little tense than usual.

"Hey, what's up?" Suzal greeted them.

"We are fine. And today, we are here to say some important things to you two. Suzal and *******." Said Grafiel.

"What father?" Asked Suzal.

"Actually you guys are adopted." Said Grafiel.

'Is that all?' Was what Suzal thought.
