Chapter 3 Where's Jared

Elaine's POV

"Hello Miss Elaine" That voice sounded so familiar but I couldn't bother trying to figure out who the voice belonged to. This was not the place for anyone who knows me personally to see me.

"So do you come here often or...."

"Hello?, whoever you are. She's my girlfriend so could you back off" Jared said looking pretty upset so I wrapped my hands on his to calm him down. He gave me a reassuring smile before turning his attention back to whoever it was.

"Oh," he said and backed off, I heaved a huge sigh of relief. Knowing how impatient Jared was, there could be a possibility of a fight breaking out, then I looked back at the spot where Evan had been sitting and noticed he was still there; so it meant that whoever that guy was, he wasn't Evan. I wanted to palm my face at that moment but hid my embarrassment in the bottom of my wine glass

After staying together for a while, Jared left me there; to be with his friends and I didn't protest and let him have fun. I kept my eyes on him and saw how excited his friends were to see him and that made me happy

"Hey baby girl" a tall man came to my side and called uncomfortably.

"Am here with my boyfriend" I explained without making eye contact, he reeked of alcohol and drugs.

"Oh now don't be that way pretty lady" he tried to reach out to my face but I moved my face away from his disgusting hands.

"Am serious, now leave" My tone was stern and commanding and he sobered up a bit before replying to me.

"Fiesty, just how I like them. Okay then, if your boyfriend is here then where is he?" He asked, his presence was getting more and more irritating to me and I started gazing through the crowd to find Jared but he was nowhere.

"I can't find him. Well he's Jared Carter" I informed him and he bursted out laughing.

"The Jared Carter" he looked like I said something unbelievable.

"Hey back off here" I heard someone say behind me.

"And who are you?" He lazily asked.

"Take a closer look" he bent over a bit and when the guy realized who he was, he scurried away like he had seen a ghost. I heaved a huge sigh of relief feeling internally grateful that he had left. His presence was making me uncomfortable.

"I don't think it was wise for your boyfriend to leave you all alone here. Come with me and I'll take you home" The guy offered I looked up at his blank face. I do not know this person but I remembered seeing him at the club earlier, he didn't show any emotions for me to find out what exactly he had in mind.

"Thanks for the offer but my boyfriend might come back any minute now and he's gonna try to find me" I explained.

"Okay then, may I sit with you? That way no one would dare to get close to you. This is club CD195 and anything can happen to you, just come with me" I looked around and finally noticed a lot of guys staring at me with lustful eyes and realized what he was saying was the truth.

"Who are you?" I asked curiously.

"Someone whom you do not need to know about " he replied coldly.

"At least a name?"

"Chris" he finally said.

"Don't you want to know my name?" I asked.

"Not interested, am only here to do a job miss, not interact with you "

I locked gazes with Evan once more, for some reason, I felt like he had sent Chris over to me but I couldn't make out why he'd do that or why my gut feeling was telling me he had done it. Just like the first two times, he pulled away first and sipped in some wine from his glass.

I waited patiently for Jared, I had started to feel uncomfortable so I picked up the wine glass from the table and drank its contents while waiting for my silly boyfriend who was starting to get on my nerves. I poured in another cup of wine and gulped it all. I poured more and more glasses and kept gulping them all up without actually realizing the alcoholic contents since the drink was grape-like in taste; until Chris suddenly stopped me from pouring in another glass

"What?" I ask.

"I think that's enough miss, That drink has a high alcoholism content " he explained but I hit his hand away causing the wine glass to fall to the ground and shatter. The club was Soo noisy that no one noticed the loud sound of breaking glass.

Chris had called for someone else to stay with me before leaving with a girl, I had started to feel dizzy and lightheaded and it felt like the world had become hazy, I looked at the guy standing next to me and watched him pick up his phone and walked away from me. That's when it hit me.

I saw some people headed for the back and realized that Jared could also be there. I left my seat and headed towards that side, Everything felt blurry and I couldn't control my limbs but I still moved forward and walked for a while with no actual destination in mind, I found the door next to the back door and entered it instead.

I was walking down a huge hallway and saw two couples making out by a door before going in, Feeling confused and unaware of my surroundings; I moved forward and saw two hot naked guys touching and making out, which grossed me out completely but I decided not to pay much attention to them.

My head felt so heavy on me and I could barely walk straight and staggered till I found Chris standing outside a room and approached him probably waiting for someone

"Um, hey. I'm looking for my boyfriend's name is Jared and -"

"What are you doing here Elaine, I thought I had put that bastard in charge of you." he spouted and I smiled brightly for no main reason.

"So?" I asked.

"You are so drunk. You need to get out of here, it's not the nicest place for you in this state" he blabbered.

"No, I won't go, take me to Jared. Now!" I ordered and he gazed at me longing, lust evident in his eyes as he stared down at my chest.

"I'll take you to Jared" he offered something sinister evident in his eyes, then opened the door behind him and cupped my cheeks with one hand while caressing my waist with the other.
