Chapter 4 Love at First Sight….

Julian completed his classes, soccer practice and went back home. His little sister Rebecca who was five years old and loved her brother to the core.

Rebecca always ran to greet her brother when he came back from school with a huge smile and big hug.

“Julian”, came Rebecca running to him.

“Hi Becca. How was your school today?” asked Julian.

“Well today we were to draw our role model. Mrs. Kevin gave us papers and colours to do so. Look who I drew”, said Rebecca excited.

When Julian took a look at the paper that Becca was showing, his eyes were tearing up. It was him whom Rebecca drew.

Julian gave a big hug to her and asked “Why did you draw me as a role model?”

“That’s coz I love you. You are the best brother” she said.

“Wanna have dinner? What to do you want?” asked Julian after kissing her forehead.

“How about burger? Can you buy it for me please?” asked Rebecca.

Julian was not able to say no and gave into her desire of buying a burger.

When he got up he saw the photograph stuck to the fridge door of his family, mom, dad, Becca and himself.

He though, ‘Mom, Dad, see how our Becca is growing up to be a good gentle girl. We miss you’

A tear rolled down his cheek. He quickly wiped it down and ordered dinner.

Mrs. Smith came into the kitchen to see that Julian was wiping his tears.

“Mr. Julian” she said “I am there for you and Ms. Rebecca until my last breath”

Saying that she gave Julian a glass of water.

“What do you want to have for dinner?” asked Mrs. Smith.

Rebecca smiled a goofy one with her mouth and eyes.

“Well we just ordered burger” said Julian.

“Oh I know who wanted to have the burger” said Mrs. Smith looking at Rebecca, who was giggling to the most.

Why was Julian sad?…..
