Chapter 4 Running into the Playboy Dino's persistence

Mitah was still driving on her way home with a heavy heart in the midst of a mild traffic jam. She felt guilty. But she loved Dino and wouldn't want her father to hurt him. But suddenly, she felt she hit a car. She stopped. "Oh my God" she said coming out of her car. But She was shocked at the face she saw. "Nopaz?", she called. Her facial expression changed immediately. This boy again. She thought. There were just reasons Mitah wouldn't give in to him.

Apart from the fact that Dino was the only she loved, she knew Nopaz as a naughty, spoilt brat and a Playboy who spends most of his leisure times getting entertained by different 'species' of ladies.

"Hello ... dear", Nopaz replied. He was driving himself this time. He was in an expensive suit with shades

"Oh ... I'm sorry. I'll pay for the damages". She said getting suddenly angry as she walked out to go into her car to get some money. But Nopaz came out of the car and walked up to her. "Pay for the damages?" He asked chuckling, his hands in his pockets. "Do you have any idea how much this car costs? You just scratch the back and broke one of the bulbs dear."

"How much will a new one cost?" She asked. '

''Oh no dear. Don't bother. You really think I'll ask you to pay? It's you, let's get out of the main street. We should talk". He said.

"I don't wanna talk to you!!" Mitah replied and soon she dropped some amounts of money on his car. "This is 7,000. It should be enough for whatever damages. I'm sorry once again", she said entering the car and drove off. Nopaz stared at the money on the floor and then hit his hand angrily on the car.

"I'll get you." He said rubbing his chin

Mitah woke up feeling some pains in her body. She needed to take a medication to stop her symptoms very quickly. She remembered her father took the painkiller previously (some days ago.) She went into her father's room and met him searching for some documents in the drawer. She requested for the medication "I have some pains on my waist" she added.

"Sorry my dear, Oh.. I forgot to shut down the tap in the bathroom.. let me quickly do that".. He said hurrying as he heard some burbles. "Check the drawer there though.."

"Okay". Mitah was checking the drawer when she felt she dropped a picture.. She bent down to pick it.. It was an old picture stained with avocado peels. The faces she saw there shocked and confused her. Her father and Dino's father hugging each other sideways. Just then her father came out of the bathroom. "Did you see the medication.. Mitah?".. He asked but the expression on her face startled him.

"Dad?".. Mitah called showing him the picture.. "You were friends before?.. Why did you hate him so much then?"

She asked as he snatched the picture from her, ignoring her question.. "Don't you know what things to touch?!.. He said with a furious expression. Mitah had never seen her father that angry. "I don't even know why am keeping this".. He squeezed it and threw it in the Bin. Mitah was still shocked about the picture she just saw, nonetheless, she bent down in front of the drawer for the exact reason she came to the room in the first place, the medication. She took it and left the room. Her father watched her as she left. He sighed heavily and massaged his forehead. He suddenly felt a sharp migraine, "Lupam!"..He called out loud. Lupam appeared from the nearest room

"Yes Sir"

"Get me some ice and a towel".

Mitah went into her room and thought hard, that was Dino's dad. She was certain. She had seen him in a picture Dino had shown to her, Mitah was only a kid when he died and she could barely remember him. But then she was caught in her own memory. "The man with the yellow shade" she muttered out loud. How foolish of her not to have known. She just remembered when she saw it in the picture she held recently, Dino's father was putting his yellow shade on his forehead. But in the pictures he saw with Dino he was without it. The yellow shade was a kind of signature Mitah knew him with then. Her father, Lati had quite some friends who were soldiers. But she could remember there was a particular one who used to put on a shiny yellow shade who comes to see her father and they would often go out together. The yellow shade was what

Mitah used to distinguish Dino's father from the rest of his father's friends because Mitah as a kid did not quite phantom each faces of the men. She just knew they were always in the same uniform. But the one with the shiny yellow Shade, She did remember! So he was Dino's father.

"God" She uttered as she further rest her back on her bed. "The man with the yellow shade?"

Lati decided she would send Mitah to her aunt's place at a faraway town till she delivered of her baby. She was about two months gone. Her aunt, Martha, a nurse, is Lati's Sister and Lati was rest assured, she would be in safe hands He wanted her to give birth there, this was to avoid Dino seeing her or disturbing her. The day Lati told Mitah this, she was annoyed and she spoke: "You can't keep doing this to me. Why do I have to dance to every of your tunes? I am not a child! I am an adult. I have a right to make my decision and I am going no where. You already told

me to end things with Dino and I did already., Now this??? Why are you trying your very best to frustrate me?!"

"Frustrate you?.I am trying to help you here. To protect you from that boy"

"Protect me?..Dad, Dino would and can never hurt me."

"Really? ,his father was a Terrible human being. What makes you think he won't be one??"

Mitah shook her head: "He is not his father!.and why do you even say his father is a terrible man anyways. What the hell did he do to you??" "

Do not question my decision Mitah!.You would do as I say and as you are going, the maid, Lupam would go with you and also my personal bodyguards. "

"What?" Mitah said. She gave an unbelievable Chuckle as she rubbed her forehead. "And if I refuse?."

"You already know what would happen my dear" Lati said as he stood up spreading his arms. "That boy won't take me more than 10 seconds for me to kill and I am even considering sending my personal bodyguards instead. You know how hefty they are right?..They love seeing people in pain!.He will die a very, very painful death!!!"He said tapping his fingers. "So, my dear daughter, think wisely before you make any daft decision. I believe you value

his life and won't want him dead" Lati said and he walked in to his room.

Mitah fell to the ground and started crying. She cried out so loud and in frustration, she broke the flower vase on the table

"Why , Why is this happening to me?!" she wailed

Lupam came out when she heard her "Miss Mitah, Miss Mitah".She called as she was confused of what to do. She guessed she had been involved in argument with her father again. She had been quite aware of what had been going on through their arguments in the house. She moved closer to her and tried to help her up.

"Miss Mitah. Please stop crying. It is unadvisable for you to do so, especially with your condition. Please get up with me and let's go inside ma"am" She said. Mitah stood up still crying and Lupam led her inside her room. She stayed with her and put on the Air conditioner for her as she was terribly sweating. Mitah lied down and Lupam didn't leave until She fell asleep.

The next five days, Mitah had no choice but to travel over to Kalop town, Lupam followed her including two of her father's personal guards.

Meanwhile, Dino has been in a sad mood. Since that day. The way Mitah spoke, he could clearly see that she was not herself. He kept wondering what had come over her. Queen had earlier informed him that Mitah was indeed pregnant but she wouldn't open up even to her who the father is. He ended up going to Lati's house to ask for Mitah , moreover, he knew the child she was carrying was his. He was actually sad Mitah could do this to him. She left him and what was worse, she left town. He felt empty and sad. Dino had searched everywhere for her. He came to her house one of those days and Lati shouted at him to vacate his premises and never come back.

"I'll be back General. Don't get your hopes up, Mitah is my soulmate and you can't keep doing this to us. Besides I know the child she is carrying is mine. I won't let you have your way " He said as he left to get into his car

"Stupid boy". Lati spat on the ground and he beckoned at the security at the gate who ran to him

"You, I just employed you here three months ago. Before you got here, I told you this house has been without a gate security for six months so that Bastard has been coming here as he pleases even when I am not around. The man working here before knows that guy's face and unless he wants to lose his Job, he wouldn't let him in without my orders! Now you should also thread on the same path. The next time, I see him in my compound You lose your Job. Understood?"

"Yes Sire" The man bowed.

"Good!" Lati said as he entered

After seven months, Mitah was back already to her father's house. She had given birth to a cute baby boy.

She was sad about the decision her father made her to take, and that moment she despised Lati. Lati had proposed the idea of marrying her off to Qadir, a son of his billionaire friend. Qadir is a doctor and based in their state. "I don't want anyone except Dino Dad."

"Why won't you just forget about that bastard? It's never going to happen, unless I am dead!"Lati yelled

A month after, Dino came to Lati's house again. The Gate security tried to stop him but he forced his way in. This time Mitah attended to him. She just put her baby to sleep "Dino .... What are you doing here?" She said her voice shaking. They were in the compound. Dino looked at her, she has changed a lot and shed some weight. He didn't know she was even back yet but just decided to try his Luck. The Gate security ran to where Dino was standing

"I said leave!" He said trying to push him.

"Leave me alone. Else I will wound you" Dino threatened poking his fingers at him. The Gate man remembered how he overpowered him a minute ago. His arm still hurt from the way he grabbed it. All the same, he was persistent

"Leave this instant! Do you want me to lose my work here?!"

"Leave him alone Fred. Go back to your post" Mitah told him. "I will handle it"

"But ma"am. The general has warned me about him and he needs to..."

"I said. Go back to your post. Fred!"Mitah raised her voice "You won't lose your Job. Tell my father I let him in myself". Fred gave up and went back to the Gate

"Long time no see, Mitah". Dino said. "I see you are back"

Yeah". Mitah said swallowing hard.

"How could you do this to me? I have tried your private telephone line, you weren't picking up,.Do you want to kill me Mitah. You know I cannot be with any other woman but you. I love you so much and you hurt me!"

"Dino..I..am sorry please just accept..."

"Accept what?!. Accept the gibberish coming out of your mouth the other day, what is wrong with you, have you been possessed by an evil spirit?" "Dino!.."Mitah exclaimed shocked he could speak to her like that

"What?!.. Look, I don't even want to argue with you Where is my child? If you won't come back to me. At least, let me have him, then I would be able to cope with ur absence when I look at him. You can't keep him away from.me."Dino said.

Mitah proceeded to tell him the baby

Lucas wasn't his. "Have you forgotten that I told you I was raped", she said. "Look the baby is not yours. Ok?"

"How dare you Mitah lie to my face?! You really have the guts to sacrifice our love. What is wrong with you?!" He said holding her shoulders and shaking it firmly as if to jerk her back to reality. "Stop. Dino stop it". Mitah said trying to control her tears from coming out

"Swear!.Swear by your mother's grave that child is not mine, you have always told me you would rather cut yourself than swear by your mother's grave in vain!..Swear?

"I.. can't..I can't" She said finally breaking into tears

"I knew it" Dino said

Her father who was in the house at that time was hearing some noises and he came out, seeing Dino, he threatened to release his dogs at him if he wouldn't leave or worst shoot him. Mitah begged him already scared that he might get hurt "Please Dino, just leave please".

"I thought as much, its him, he is the one messing with your mind and decisions isn't he??.. He said as he left knowing the next step to take.

Mitah just sighed heavily, touched her chest and went inside. This was too hard for her.

"Dad, Dad please I can't bear this. At least Let him get access to his son please. I promise to cut off ties with him after that"

"His son?! Really, wait, do you think I don't even get angry sometimes when I stare at your child?. He is an offspring of the man I hate most in my entire Life!Paul Martins! But because of you, because of the love I have for you Mitah, I just can't and God so Merciful he helped me in that regard too by making the child look exactly like you!.So I want to say that sorted out a whole lot of resentment in my heart, that he doesn't look like that Stupid Dino boy! If not if he looks like Dino, Dino looks like his father, I would take that child to the Orphanage! "

"Dad.You are being so uncruel to me and I don't know how long I can take this, I don't!"

"Remember that his life is in danger if you try going back to him, just simply remember that my dear" "Oh!....God!"Mitah wailed .
