Chapter 10 Who's to Blame

That was a relief for Cissy. She had to do many wire stunts today. She'd better do each of them in one shoot. Actions like spinning kick and thwart split in the air were not easy. Any little false move could spoil the visual effect.

After about half an hour, an assistant came and yelled, "Go to change clothes! That stuntwoman has arrived!"

Cissy went to change her clothes. It was simple, just put on a costume and coil up her hair. Her face would not be shot, so she didn't need to put on make-up.

Time to Fall in Love was a martial art drama. Fight scenes appeared from the beginning to the end basically. The leading actor and actresses all played martial art maters. Scenes today were about the female lead and the supporting female lead fought violently for the injured male lead in a martial arts contest. The astonishing fight scenes today were important.

The stuntwomen would take part in the longshots and they would be hung in the air most of the time, while close-ups would be done by the female leads.

Cissy saw the other stuntwoman in light yellow costume when she went to the assistant director after putting on her costume.

Cissy intended to go over and say hello. Anyway, Cissy would play opposite her and they would rehearse to ensure safety.

However, when the stuntwoman turned around, Cissy felt blood rushing to her head. It was Gloria!

Gloria looked at Cissy provocatively with a sarcastic smile.

Cissy tried her best to repress her anger and rehearsed with her at the director's urging.

Cissy knew Gloria very well. She lacked basic training and her fighting actions were like dancing, beautiful enough, but not powerful.

The character the supporting female lead played had been practicing martial art since she was a child. Therefore, every fighting action should be powerful and beautiful to reflect her background and character.

The character the female lead played was adopted by a martial art master. This woman had learned the best of every martial art school and formed her free and unstrained style. So, Cissy should play cleanly and neatly.

Right at the moment when Gloria's sword was hit to the ground for the third time, the director could no longer hold it and yelled, "Aren't you from the martial arts school? Your fight was like dancing! You are playing a martial art master, not a whore!"

Gloria kept her head down embarrassedly. When they fought again, she said to Cissy furiously, "You did that on purpose."

"Who's to blame if you aren't good at it?" Cissy smiled coldly.

"Well, who's to blame if you aren't able to control his best leg of three?" Gloria spoke to Cissy's ear. "Oh, he's so good at it. It's a pity that you no longer have a chance."

While Cissy was distracted, Gloria hacked Cissy with her sword so hard that Cissy's arm was almost dislocated.

"Oh, I didn't mean it, director." Gloria pretended to be shocked and said as sultrily as she could.

Cissy, holding her arm, glanced at Gloria coldly. Next time when they did the wire stunt, Cissy beat Gloria with all her strength. Gloria's arm was numbed instantly and the sword fell off her hand and almost hit the assistant director.

Cissy said to the staff below calmly, "Sorry!"

When they landed, Gloria raised her hand and wanted to slap Cissy in her face, but her arm was firmly gripped by Cissy.

Gloria was very irritated. She rushed to the assistant director, Cobb Lee, who was not quite happy. "Sorry, Cobb! I didn't mean it. Forgive me, please. I will listen to you." Her busty breast was constantly rubbing Cobb's arm.

After he received Gloria's signal, Cobb was softened a little. However, when he talked to Cissy, he was still very fierce, "Get out if you don't want to work here any longer!"
