I came back from the diner with no as my answer. I can't believe that she said no. I need to pursue her a bit more I think.
And if she doesn't agrees to marry me even then..... Then the CEO inside me will come out to play. And, then she'll have no choice but, to accept my proposal.
I know she is in dire need of money. She has taken up a few loans, she hadn't paid the rent of her house. Most of her bulls are pending. And, the sum of all them she won't be able to earn so much money if she keeps up working the way she is.
I have to admit though, her pride in her virtue and her self respect was admirable. But, she has to understand that if she wants to have a bright future she has to change her ways.
I know that she has that lioness in her, who can fight against anything that is thrown her way but she can make better choices to avoid those situations. Such as, to marry me.
I mean, I always thought I was a pretty good catch in the town. But, apparently not good enough for Ms. Clarke. Hmmm..... There is something about this girl, that I can't figure out what it is. But, I'm just so damn attracted towards her because of that one thing. But, I don't know what that one thing is.
Damn it, I think she is some kind of witch or something. And she caused some sort of a spell on me. I can't stop thinking about her.
I was pulled out of the arrays of my thought when my phone rang. I looked at the screen to see the name. It was Daniel. My best friend since childhood. We've done everything together, we have studied together, we have done business together.
He was currently in London, due to a meeting. I already briefed him about My dad wanted me to marry Stella. I'm not that I'm going to see her today, so probably is just calling me to ask how my date went. How my proposal went?
I stood up and walked towards the window to stand across. The cool breeze from the city touched my face. The noise is drawing up from the vehicles. The chatter of a busy city hitting me as I stood there.
"Hey, what's up man? Where have you been? How did it go?" Daniel asked with at most enthusiasm.
I knew it. He was going to call me for inquiring about all the details of the meeting I had today, or date, or proposal, Whatever you want to call it.
I've known this man since childhood. I know what he's going to say and then he's going to say it. I know him through and through.
I still remember the first day we met at the boarding school we were in together. We were just two scrawny little kids back then. One day some kids were planning to beat Daniel. And I helped him by fighting against all of them alongside him. We have been tight since then.
"It went well....." I trailed off, And replied to him.
"OK, and what did she say? Did she agree to the proposal? "He asked me. He is very excited about my marriage. It's his long dream to see me whipped.
"Not yet. She did not accept my proposal. Well, the first event there in proposed the marriage to her, she was ready to kill me off. But then she listened to the proposal and rejected it in the most graceful way." I told him, reliving the moment I spent with Stella again for the hundredth time in my head.
"What? My friend just got rejected and yet he is not pissed off in the least. Instead, he's saying that the rejection was graceful. Who is this girl and what has she done with my best friend in one meeting? And I really want to meet this chick." He replied with laughter, there was also a twinge of surprise in his voice. Yeah, even I am surprised at myself.
" Well... you can meet her, I think I would need you here to convince her to marry me." I enunciated him.
I have a full proof plan I prepared, but I would need someone else to make that plan coming to being. If I want to get Stella to marry me, I have to play my cards right. And I have to force her without seeming like I'm forcing her. Because if she knew it was all my doing she surely would not marry me.
I want her to think that it is her choice to marry me. Even though she has no say in it.
I kind of had a gut feeling that she would reject my proposal. Even though it was in my subconscious mind. So I had prepared a Plan B. And I would need Daniel to make that plan come in to being. But I will only discuss it when he's here.
"What are you trying to say? Parker, what is going into that devilish head of yours?" He questioned with suspicion lacing in his voice.
"Well, nothing, diabolical. But as she rejected my proposal, I have to convince her harder. As you know, I never give up. And not so easily ever. I will probably need your help to convince her to marry me. So come back. As soon as you can." I demanded from him squarely. I know he would never say no to me, but I still had to be a bit demanding to make sure he is here as soon as possible.
" Well, if you need me, I can catch the flight. As we speak." He muttered, agreeing instantly. I feel a little guilty for manipulating him into coming here, but. It's nothing wrong that I'm doing. Just business. And in business nothing is right or wrong. Everything revolves around Getting what you want.
"That's my friend!" I exclaimed happily. "Will be waiting for your arrival. Once you're here, we can discuss the plan." I informed him dismissively.
After a little pause, he spoke again and said, "You know I'm little scared for her. I know how far you can go to achieve something that you want." Even though he said that, jokingly I could hear the concern in his voice.
"Be here soon. I'm waiting." Was my mumbled acknowledgment.
"Yeah, sure." He responded and the I ended the call.
Stella Clarke, there is no one who can save you from me now. You will be mine, you like it or not. You should not have insisted on the Beast in me to come up again, he was just sleeping not dead. And, since he is awake, there is nothing you can do to time him.
