"Yeah." I nod and smile at him. "But I'm down for hot chocolate." I giggle.
"One more hour and we can get hot chocolate." Sam smiles at me.
"Merry Christmas!" I smile to a woman who put her change into the bucket.
This is fun activities actually. I never volunteering like this before. I even never volunteering at anything. I never have a job but now I got some experience that I never have before.
Sam rubs my hair so the snow won't caught up on my hair. He then pull the hoodie of my coat and put it on my head. I chuckle and shake my head while continue ring the bell.
"We're not even allowed to sit down?" I ask him.
"No." Sam shakes his head. "That's why I told you to not wear any heels." Sam says to me.
"I never wear heels for school or this." I said to him. "Merry Christmas!" I smile to some kids who runs across the street and put little cash in our bucket. "I already told coach Sue that I'll be volunteering at Lima Homeless Shelter and donated my books and clothes."
"I'm happy that my family is getting back to our feet and my dad can send me money for my stuff. But they still can't move back to Ohio because my sister and brother are entering school there." Sam says to me.
"So you're going live with me until graduate?" I ask him.
"Probably." Sam nods. "I hope Mr. Schue won't mind."
"He won't. I mean you're living with us or not it's the same thing. The food stock bills, the gas bills, and the electricity bill will be just the same. Nothing's change, Sam. And we are a family." I smile at him. "Honestly, I'm not lonely anymore since you live with us."
"I know you were lonely. It really shows that. I mean at school you're more like a country girl who just being quiet and didn't talk much." Sam chuckles. "You are more like a gold in a sand. Nobody realized that you are a shining creature so they tend to ignore you but once they found you, they would be lucky." Sam smiles at me.
"How come you always have those pep talks?" I chuckle.
"Well, being homeless taught you a lot of thing." Sam giggles. "Merry Christmas!" Sam smiles to a man who put the cash into the bucket.
"This is the best Christmas ever." I smile.
"Our work time is done. You want to go get hot chocolate and play ice skating?" Sam asks me.
"Sure. I never play ice skating before so I might fall." I giggle.
"It's okay, it's like playing roller blades." Sam takes out the bucket. "Come on." Sam says to me.
~~
I'm wearing my ice skating shoes and make sure that this shoes is really fits in me. I try to stand up slowly and walk to the rink but I suddenly fall down with my butt on the ground.
I walk on the corner slowly while holding the holders. "Come here!" Sam chuckles.
"No I can't." I shake my head.
Sam walks to me and then take my hands. I hold his hands and he walks in front of me while facing me. "Don't move your feet like actual walking just like playing roller blades."
"Okay I got it." I nod and keep holding his hand as we start skating around the rink.
"You heard that?" Sam asks me.
"Heard what?" I raise my eyebrows.
"The sound of the best Christmas ever is about to begin." Sam smiles at me.
Sam:
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening
In the lane, snow is glistening
The beautiful sight, we're happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
Paris:
Gone away is the bluebird
Here to stay is the new bird
He sings a love song, as we go along
Walking in a winter wonderland
Sam:
In the meadow we can build a snowman
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
Paris:
He'll say: Are you married? We'll say: No man
But you can do the job when you're in town
Sam:
Later on, we'll conspire
Paris:
As we dream by the fire
Sam (with Paris):
To face unafraid, the plans that we've made
(Walking in a winter wonderland)
Sam:
In the meadow we can build a snowman
Paris:
And pretend that he's a circus clown
Sam (with Paris):
We'll have lots of fun with (mister snowman)
(Until the other kid is knockin' him down)
Sam:
When it snows, ain't it thrilling
Paris:
Though your nose gets a chilling
Sam (with Paris):
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way
(Walking in a winter wonderland)
Paris and Sam:
Here's a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry, be happy
Don't worry be happy now
Paris (with Sam):
Don't worry
Don't worry, be happy
(Don't worry, be happy now)
(Don't worry, 'cause we're walking in a winter wonderland)
"Best Christmas ever!" I smile at him and hug him.
"It is." Sam chuckles and hugs me back.
I smile and look around. People are happy here and I can't wait to do something more this year. It all will be beautiful.

I'm walking into Lima Homeless Shelter with Sam bringing some boxes with books and food.
"Sorry coach, we're kinda late but we brought books and food." I smile at coach Sue.
"Put the books over there and bring the food here, kiddo." Coach Sue smiles at me.
Sam put the book boxes on the corner. I take my apron and standing behind the food line and give the food I brought to coach Sue and standing next to Quinn to give these homeless food.
"Hey, Quinn. Didn't know you're here." Sam smiles at her.
"I'm just doing something good." Quinn smiles at us.
"Everyone's telling me you've been having a rough year, but you seem pretty od to me." Sam says to her.
"I'm better. Think I was just stuck focusing on everything I didn't have and none of the stuff that was good. Stuff in the future." Quinn says to us.
"I'm glad you turned it around. You deserve good things, Quinn." Sam smiles at her.
"I'm trying." Quinn smiles. "Why are you two here? Aren't you two supposed to taping that Christmas show?"
"I apparently don't want to be in a show where Kurt, Blaine, and Rachel having all the spotlight and I'm just a prop. Sam has been become my Christmas sponsor and we've had the best Christmas ever. I did something new that I never do before." I smile.
"Christmas is about giving back." Quinn smiles at us.
"Ah, ah, ah, ah! Portion control, Bee Sting." Coach Sue walks to us. "Come on. Guess you're just not used to being on this side of the serving line." Coach Sue says and helping us giving the food.
"Seriously though, I don't think we have enough food for everybody." Quinn says to her.
"Yeah. Economy gets bad, people give less." Coach Sue nods.
"I don't even think the ginger chocolate chip cookies that I made for the kids here is enough." I half smiled.
"At least we tried our best here." Coach Sue smiles at us.
"Hey!"
I turn my face and smile as I see dad and the others are walking in. Bring some presents, Christmas tree and also food.
"I know we're late, but we were all hoping there's still time to help. We brought the turkey from the special with all the fixings. Yeah, it's a prop but it's real." Artie smiles at us.
"Why don't you put it on the table over there, kiddo." Coach Sue smiles at him.
"You guys finally me around." Sam smiles at them.
"Well, you can thank Rory for helping us see the light." Finn smiles at us.
"I was just following my Christmas sponsor's lead." Rory smiles at Sam.
"We have a song, too. We were gonna perform it as our final number for our Christmas special, but we lost the final ten minutes of airtime when the station reached a last-second agreement with those Yule log people." Artie says to us.
"As long as it's not Jingle Bells. It seems it's the only song our janitor knows how to play, and I'm bleeding from the ears." Coach Sue chuckles.
I take off my apron and my plastic hand gloves. I walk to the corner with the others and smiles to those kids.
Finn:
It's Christmas time
There's no need to be afraid
At Christmas time
We let in light and we banish shade
Mercedes:
And in our world of plenty
We can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the world
At Christmas time
Rachel:
But say a prayer
Pray for the other one
Oh, at Christmas time it's hard
But when you're having fun
Blaine and Kurt (Blaine):
(There's a) world outside your window
And it's a world of dread and fear
Artie and Brittany:
Where the only water flowing
Is the bitter sting of tears
Puck and Tina:
And the Christmas bells that ring
Are the clanging chimes of doom
Mercedes (with Rachel):
Well tonight thank God it's them (instead of you)
Artie and Tina with New Directions (Santana):
And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmas time (This Christmas time, no)
The greatest gift they'll get this year is life (Is life)
Where nothing ever grows (Nothing ever grows)
No rain or rivers flow (Oh, rivers flow, no)
Do they know it's (with Santana: Christmas time at all?)
Here's to you (Raise a glass for everyone)
Here's to them (Underneath that burning sun)
Do they know it's Christmas time at all? (Do they know it's Christmas time at all, yeah)
Tina with New Directions:
Da-da-da-da-da
Da, da-daah
Da-da-da-da-da
Blaine and Brittany (with Rachel) and New Directions:
Feed (the world)
Artie and Tina with New Directions (with Rachel):
Let them know it's (Christmas time) again
Blaine and Brittany (with Rachel) and New Directions:
Feed (the world)
Artie and Tina with New Directions:
Let them know it's Christmas time again
Blaine and Brittany (with Rachel) and New Directions:
Feed (the world)
Artie and Tina with New Directions (with Rachel):
Let them know it's (Christmas time) again
Blaine and Brittany (with Rachel) and New Directions:
Feed (the world)
Artie and Tina with New Directions (Artie with New Directions):
Let them know it's Christmas time (again)

*Sam's POV*
"So, Rory what's the Christmas tradition that your family is doing during Christmas?" Mom asks Rory.
"Just simple dinner with the entire family and then we will open the presents by midnight or watching the fireworks." Rory says to us. "I thought I was going to be alone for Christmas this year but Sam asked me to have Christmas with his family."
"I became his Christmas sponsor this year. We both are same. We're living with others family in Lima." I said to them.
"How's the family that you're living with?" Mom asks me.
"Well, Mr. Schue and Paris are really nice. I can eat any food I want to and sometimes I helped them with cleaning the house and do laundry by myself. Mr. Schue is a divorce man, his daughter is same age with me. And his ex wife got me a job at her store, part time, but it's nice because I can pay my own stuff like lunch at school and others." I said to mom.
"Alright, enjoy your time. Make your self feel like a home. I'm gonna cook Christmas special British dinner." Mom smiles at Rory and walks away.
I chuckle and take my cellphone from my pocket. It's only been two days but why I miss Paris already? It's kinda weird. But I can't deny that I have the best Christmas ever with her this year. And she has been the closest person to me. She read me story before I sleep every night and those beautiful smile. Hold on, what am I talking about?
I shake my head and keep looking at my phone. I open my Instagram account and see Paris is posting about something an hour ago. She looks so pretty. I smile and give a love to her post. I miss her so much.
